Are you hyped about Black Ops II? For what reasons?

Posted by mamaluigi on May 2, 2012 1:56 PM

Hey everyone, I hope you're all excited about this game as much as I am. I just wanted to know a few things about why YOU are excited for this game. Is it because it's a new Call of Duty game? Or are there other reasons? Please explain.

Now, I'll tell you guys why I am very excited about this game.

Black Ops was a very good game and had a strong story line to it, and I just knew for some reason, the game had a cliffhanger at the end of it's campaign unlike World at War. I'm so happy that for the first time Treyarch is being allowed to make a sequel to one of their games! Treyarch is really under looked by a lot of Call of Duty fans because "they didn't make COD4" or "their graphics don't look good". Really? I find that so immature when people are saying things like that about one of the best game developers. Treyarch knows how to make people get hyped and start looking more into their game, through Easter Eggs, and hints here and there. Also, if you take World at War for instant, the graphics were set for that time zone. It had that dark, gloomy tone to it, and when you killed someone with a grendade, body parts and gore flew every where, now that is a war game. They could have gore in Black Ops, but the fans wanted gun camos, so that took the amount of space instead of the gore, which I though was disappointing.

I know Treyarch is going to do an amazing job with this game. It's their first sequel while creating the Call of Duty series, the game aspect is new and fresh with what are looking like some amazing ideas. Also, I'd personally like to thank Activision for letting Treyarch go through with some of their ideas and not being held back from that they can achieve.

So if you could, please state what emotions you are feeling for this game.

Black Ops was a sequel to World at War.

And I'm excited for a scene change.  So far it looks like just the right mix of sci-fi and modernism.

ZOMBIES is what I am exited for... and multiplayer.

p.s. I hate this font, it's all unclear and gloomy.

I'm hyped because the campaign, it's open world and you have a large variety of ways to play it, classic style, open world, choices you make will effect the outcome of the storyline. Which means less walkthroughs and more independent gameplay.

I will personally spend more time on the campaign at first, because I will want to see if I make good choices in-game, it's sort of like Mass Effect 3 storyline (open world-game effecting choices wise). But of course it has its own storyline, and it's going to be exciting. The multiplayer and zombies will also be great, Treyarch said they're pushing the limits.

Yeah, according to Treyarch there are several endings and outcomes to the storyline. I'm so excited!

Are you excited for campaign as well? I just want to experience the first open world Call of Duty with drivable vehicles and squad changing >.<

Treyarch hasn't failed me yet, people didn't like the Black Ops trailer until further trailers with Woods and stuff came out. I'm sure when they release Beta and multiplayer trailers, etc, there will be lots of hype about the game.

I'm pumped for Black Ops 2, because I'm pretty much expecting the following to make a return in Black Ops 2:

    Combat Training

    Dolphin Diving

Individual sound sliders for Music and SFX

The Time To Kill from Black Ops. I am NOT a fan of the built in Stopping Power in MW3; makes the TTK too low.

    Crystal clear mic chat

    CUSTOM LAYERED EMBLEMS!!!!!

Just the return of what already was in Black Ops, is exciting. If any of the above does not return, I'll be somewhat disappointed.

I was never a big zombies fan, but hearing that they're going to add new game-modes to zombies definitely peaks my interest.

I really want to see what Treyarch came up with for perks and killstreaks or what they're going to do with all of that. COD $?

Where I'm scared that Black Ops 2 will fail in my eyes is, map size. I've seen complaints about MW3 maps being too small, but I happen to really like maps that are either small or play small. I would love to try out the MW3 maps but with the TTK of Black Ops.

I also hope the new Elite can emulate a lot of what the Black Ops Player Card stats brought to the table. I hope it's seamless too.

I just have one thing to say about one of your ideas, crystal clear mics would be impossible. You are talking to some people across the world, it would be extremely hard to put it clear, I personally think Modern Warfare chat is cheesy, but I enjoyed the clearness of Black Ops 1 chat, it helped people figure out if a kid was a girl or guy.

Ok, let's not say "crystal clear" then.

Black Ops mic chat was REALLY good, and I hope that returns for Black Ops 2.

    It's new.

    It's different.

    It's Treyarch.

    That's why I'm hyped; a bit.

Zombies, that is what I am excited for. Mostly, because of an interview Sark at Machinima had with the head of 3arc, he mentioned that Zombies would be getting the multiplayer engine (Hopefully that means Host Migration), and also new game modes for the Zombies game mode as well. I'm also excited for the multiplayer, MW3 was a very big let down for me.

Yeah I watched that video also, he also interviewed about the campaign, which also sounded amazing. Definitely excited for zombies, Mark said the zombie team is pushing it to the limits. Host Migration would be amazing for zombies, if it gets multiplayer matchmaking system, HOPEFULLY, it won't take 20 minutes to find a team of 4 haha!

I do too but it will take a bit getting used to, it's like playing from 2-4 sensitivity, hard at first but you get used to it ^.^

I personally am looking forward to it. The fact that it is only 13 years away and not 200 like Halo is Sweet!!! Im really hoping that it ends up not having Ray Guns like Halo though, Extremly annoying.

The thing I hyped up about is to see how many children worry about meaningless crap and not push the Devs for improvements to matchmaking and connectivity issues.

So you think the devs are saying, "Hey, nobody is really pushing for improvements to matchmaking or connectivity issues. Maybe they don't really want that."

      C'mon man!!

I'm excited because I think gun skill is coming back. MW2 and MW3 took very few bullets to kill someone, and I didn't like that.

I'm hyped cause the game is going be a whole new experience nether seen before in COD. A future setting is the best part about BO2 in my opinion. New high -tech Kill-Streaks and guns with a new creative new story, I can't wait.

Not too hyped. Theses games are always overrated. Same engine, same graphics, same game.
