Why would I buy this game?

When it is running on an ancient engine, graphics look average, and the multiplayer will probably be the same as usual.

Zombies are the only reason to get this game, but I am not paying $60 for a few Zombie maps when I could use the $60 towards ZOMBIE GAMES.

 

Please, one reason that BO2 looks better than MOH Warfighter or Battlefield 3?

    And you extracted all this from the 2 minute trailer? Man, thats impressive. Why not breathe, wait for more details, maybe try playing it when it comes out... and make an informed decision? Sorry, I forgot... thats a rational response.

      Yep? Two minutes of cutscenes and the visuals still looked like crap.

        Then... you don't have to buy it. Its a free country. The rest of us will rationally make a decision when we have more information.

        Never once did it occur to you that the game is...wait for it....little longer....not done?

          Doesn't change the fact that it looks no better visulally than Modern Warfare 2.

          And somehow in 9 Years the world developed robots and a full fledged security system?

           

          I would have liked to see something new with this game. Now it's just Moderner Warfare 3.

            These things already exist today. Also, its fiction. The last we saw of the Black Ops universe was the cold war. So it is not 9 years, it is 30-70 years.

             

            All the visual difference you need from the competition is the 60FPS it runs at.

             

            Perhaps you're jaded, or perhaps you just enjoy other games(in which case I don't know why you bothered with the post at all).

             

            You cannot judge a game by a reveal trailer and a name.

    That is why this is going to be my last CoD game. It is the same every year. But there are a few bad changes as seen in MW3. Graphics are okay in CoD. But I ONLY buy CoD because it is actually a fun FPS. I can't lie. Zombies to Multiplayer it is just addicting.

    The graphics look fine to me, plus i'll take smooth gameplay over just nice visuals any day.

      I never got the poor graphics argument myself. I still marvel to this day how amazing BlOps looks on my HD TV, its even more beautiful in 3D. Trying to get someone to tell me a game they think has better graphics AND smoother gameplay... have yet to see it.

    More importantly why would you make an account to ask a rhetorical question? If you don't think this game looks like its up to your standards no one is forcing you to buy it. And yes, while Battlefield may have better graphics the gameplay is crap and the controls are clunky as hell and the game is just not as fun and that's what should matter in a video game. Not graphics.

    Why is it better than Warfighter?

     

    Warfighter is a rip-off of Call of Duty. It just has better graphics.

    Why is it better than Battlefield 3? Battlefield 3 was over-patched and now the gameplay is 95% luck based, 5% based on who shoots first because of a retarded suppression effect.

    You want better visuals and you're on the XBOX section? If you want to see the power of Frostbite 2 then play those games on a PC. If it's the visuals you're after then upgrade your PC, get yourself a current generation videocard and run the game in Eyefinity or 3D Surround.

      I do play on PC but nobody uses those forums.

      And I am not sure why 60FPS is a selling point, because I play all games in over 60 FPS.

       

      Not to mention, 30+ FPS is all you need. It is almost impossible for the human eye to tell a difference.

        I was beta testing BF3 and I only have a single card back then and I was running the game at a bit over 35 fps on Ultra. It felt clunky and it wasn't smooth. There was a perceived difference. I bought another card and ran SLI and the game felt smoother and it ran better.

    Graphics are good for CoD, it also has to run at 60FPS. Most engines are ancient. Frostbite, Cry etc. YHour point being?

      That's the main reason why I play COD instead of BF3. I have both and I just can't get a hang of the BF3 pace. The maps were so huge and it sorts of kills the fun. My enemies are so far away and it's like trying to shoot a target the size of an ant on my screen. Even the TDM maps on BF3 which were supposed to be a fraction of the size of Conquest maps are like four times the size of Black Box.

        Average engagements in Afganistan are on average 87 Yards, and sometimes over 2,400 Feet.

        I think you need to step your game up. BF3 w/ 64 Players is faster paced than MW3.

          I disagree. I played many TDM and 64 players Large Conquest games and the map size played a huge part in slowing down the pace. There are so many times that I have to run for more than a minute just to get from one flag to another. It's boring. BF3's pace is also more campy compared to MW3.

           

          You are also talking about real life combat in Afghanistan. I don't want any of that. I'm playing a game for enjoyment and not as a simulation. BF3 is more like a simulation and COD is an arcade shooter. COD nailed the fun part that BF3 missed.

      The multiplayer is made by the people who did 2010's singleplayer...so yes it'll probably be awesome.

       

      BO2 will be the usual 2012 game with 2005 graphics.

    I'm questioning buying this game as well, but from what I've read it seems very innovated; the complete opposite of what MW3 was. Don't fail me Treyarch!

    yes the lag comp and hit detection could be as bad for some as it was in BO but you should buy this game only if you got money like that. get the collectors edition, buy 2 and keep one wraped in plastic(dont open the other).

    Battlefield 3 wasn't really my type of game, and I'm not going to trust MoH until I see reviews, so I guess it's CoD for me.

    now i see your point but ive played ever CoD there is right and the only one i dont like is mw3 but that was made by a diffrent company when treyarch make a game zombies isnt the only thing youll play like try going round to a friends house who you know has the game try it if you like it get it you hate it dont get it but $60

    is alot of money in scotland its only £39.99

    MOH? Those games haven't been good since.. ever! Horrible games, I feel bad that your even asking that. BF3 was a worthless game, stupid MP and short campaign. Game just sucked.  And honestly all of the Treyarch CoD games are beast! They make the Best FPS games. Zombies FTW!
