NO DEDICATED SERVERS, NO BUY! Seriously.

I'm not pre-ordering and not going to buy the game unless the console version of Black Ops 2 will have dedicated servers for multiplayer. If other games can afford it, so can COD. COD is the best selling game of this generation every year! Black Ops 2 will easily outsell MW3 on day-1 sales. PLEASE! Leave a reply if you feel the same!

    LOL thats what i say all the time when i play black ops every time a host migration occures. "Hey guys isent it ironic that a game franchise that brags about them selling the most in the world cant afford dedicated servers?" lol cheap o's

    Well all I know is I heard that the CoD games can't have dedicated servers on consoles because SO MANY people play it and they would constantly crash or something. Gears Of War 3 has dedicated servers, but it's only on Xbox and there's an average of 10,000 people playing it at any time, as opposed to say half a million on MW3. So...yeah, dedicated servers probably won't happen. It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

        It was just for PC, not for console sadly.

        To be fair though the lied to our faces about no Last Stand so thats why I will always hate IW

      Thanks for taking the time to reply guys! What I should have added was that they should have two servers you can choose from: Dedicated Server & P2P server. That way if the dedicated was down for whatever reason, we could stil run off the usual P2P server?

        I am aware it is impossible to fix all multiplayer lag-related issues, but they could fix most of they allowed a dedicated server. They should run two servers: Dedicated Server and P2P server. This way if the dedicated server is down, we could still run off the regular P2P server.

          You would be surprised how little difference dedis make........refrain...read Elagaphant....explains all in plain English.

            I just want the host migration bull to be fixed, and dedicated servers will fix that, and im tired of joining a austrailian lobby (no offence to austrailians) but our entire team would be red baring and their team is green. Dedicated would also fix this because the servers its self would be hosting, that way if you at least had a good internet connection you should always be 3-4 baring. instead of having your connection based off of sombody from god knows where.

              I agree. In BF3, I never have lag and I don't get kicked out of the game because the host had a bad internet connection or because the host left. In BF3, there is NO P2P servers, but Dedicated servers!

                Host migration occurs when the host leaves and then the lobby seeks a new host. With dedicated servers the server itsself is hosting and the server never leaves, hence no host migration.

      I think we all already know that it WONT happen, it most deffinatly CAN happen but knowing cod having $ as their priority their gonna use p2p you can say its because they cant support all the players on a server but games like bf3 that have 100-300 k on both consols and pc daily seems to run it perfectly fine. But they wont do it anyway because it would cost more for activision and we all know that and because of that ded servers will never happen.

    I don't think this will happen, not yet. A lot of the time P2P can be fine lag issues can occur which is annoying but I didn't think the connections in Black Ops were bad. MW3 has worse issues

      This was done to death in MW2, BO and MW3 forum. There will be no dedis report the annual report. End thread/
