Is there an ETA on the next TU to address the matchmaking and move it back to MW2 style? Like a week or 3??
I think i had heard some were that it was around 2 weeks from last Tuesday. Possibly when the DLC for May will be released.
Can someone explain to me what "address the matchmaking and move it back to MW2 style" will do because I only played that for a bit before selling and have no idea what the differences are?
Right now, if you are in a party it trys to find a host where the whole group has the same ping too. In MW2 the host selection for the group was based off the group leader.
So is it just to find a game faster when partied up or are there any other benefits?
From what I understand it appears to only address parties and not solo play or sync issues.
Ah right, maybe its just me but it sounds like it wont really do anything, thanks for info.
That is my feeling too...
From what I understand, it will help the party get either FIND an existing lobby or it will help get that first person into the Party's lobby. After that, it is the same old way it was working before.
I am skepticle of the results as well.
From my experience, this game does pick the area in which the host is closest. All the people we play with agree. We have people in Tampa, Conn, Chicago and N.Dakota. Whoever is hosting sees all the group icons on there screen . We speak to people in the lobbys about where theyre from and confirm this regularily.
I was just going off what cap and mac said about the current party system, since they had input on the next TU.
Yeah. I followed that thread and disagreed with their speculation then too. While Im not arguing that theres not a problem with lag comp, I definitely disagree on their theory of how matchmaking currently works. I have yet to see anyone from IW or Activision come out and say it does work this way. Of course maybe they have and I just missed it. I definitely liked Capp00s video and Macs input on it with his extensive knowledge of whats happening with the latency though.
