    It has been confirmed there will not be a open beta for blk ops 2.

    IF in the rare chance it does have an open beta it will ONLY be on the PC version.

     

    But I dont think Activision will let the cat out of the bag until the release date. I dont think that they want anyone to know ANYHING about the game than what they want to release.

     

    As for the open beta IF again they did have it. the open beta would be months behind the release date of the beta. Such as if they released an open beta in Sept. then the beta they release would be the June version of the game with bugs in it that they already fixed by September.

     

    A beta would only be used just like the beta for BF3 was. It would be used as a server stress test.

     

    Well this game doesnt run on servers so there would be no servers to test.

     

    Beta will never happen. They wont release info ahead of their own plans.

    I'll give you a speech of my beliefs. If Treyarch did not say it, then it did not happen and it is not true. It won't only be on PC if it has a beta @ starbuck, I've just heard a lot of gossip, and want to know if others would want it as well.

    Sorry, forgot to mention this. Microsoft and Sony would want a TON of money to use their online services to test the beta for the public. Hence why there wont be a beta on consoles.

     

    Also they have the COD name on the game and that will help sell more copies than a beta would.

    What makes you think an open beta would only be for PC? The World at War Beta was for Xbox and everyone bitched that is should have been on PS3 aswell. Everyone always begs for an open beta and they never get it. I remember when MW2 was coming out and everyone literaly was saying "can i haz beta".
