Who cares if its cancelled or not, its a arcade game not a sim.
It is cancelled and the game is supposed to be about the US Military in 13 years. Dare I say 13 years.
The F2000 and TAR-21 are 2 examples of rifles made with plastic. They don't melt, that it not an issue.
I agree with you on that one, I was glad to see that return as well.

The M16s and M4s have plastic parts. That is not the point. The XM8 was dropped because its plastic melting was the problem lol dude. Reading comprehension issues. That IS the issue haha

Yeah, strict accuracy really doesn't matter. It's gonna be ok.
I'm sorry, but the gun you think is the XM8 at all points in the video does not look at all like an XM8. the rail is too straight and close the gun and the entire casing over the barrel is completely dissimilar. the only guns in the trailer that look current and the handgun shown @ :41, even though it is completely red and so you cannot really tell what it is, and the M16-type weapon shown as a sillouette. The two guns that look current are the AK-types shown and the M249 SAW.
Yes, Treyarch did some styling to the handguard and added a rail to the carrying handle, but the weapon in question (XM8) uses a G36-style magazine as well as the authentic XM8 stock. If you pull up a picture on Google and compare the two, you'll see that they are in fact the same gun, trust me.
With the "red gun", if you fullscreen the video and switch to 720p, you'll be able to see some distinct FN stylings the the 5-7 has, specifically the cutoff muzzle design and the angular magwell opening. I am not just guessing here, I have the facts, and I've done my research.
The M16 weapon is blatantly obvious that it's an M16, which variant of it is still unclear, either Vietnam variantor M16A4 variant.
If a game has something unfounded in it (and therefore unrealistic) can we not call it an arcade game?
If a game has something founded in it (and therefore realistic) can we not call it a simulation game?
Now, by the very definition of what makes a game arcade or sim, everyone can be happy.
The game (and it is a game) is called Black Ops II, and guess what? It's plastic parts will melt under extreme heat - hopefully not experienced inside the PS3 as it whizzes the disc round a billion times to load up data...
i dont understand why people here are assuming all the guns in black ops 2 are going to be guns that already exist. i mean look at the rest of the crazy futuristic crap is in the trailer. why couldnt they have made up several guns?
