I agree with Death... mechanical tanks isnt that crazy in 13 years. The computer and internet that you are using right now is just as advanced so...

Just gonna leave that right thar...

Make it larger, more stronger and more durable, and slap a large calibre gun and a turret or two, and literally, you have what was in the video. Whos to say the military doesn't already have prototypes?

Anyway, these do not need to 'replace' the current manned tanks. UAVs and manned Jets still coexist don't they? Maybe unmanned vehicles will become more common in the future.

The future that was considered impossible years ago and even today is becoming today, very quickly.

    Anyway

LOL I have seen that thing. i sure hope Icy isn't calling that a tank. Do you honestly think you can just make that bigger and put a gun on it? Do you realize how much tanks rock forward and back when firing a 120mm cannon? Have you thought of the issues of a walking tank? What if it is knocked over? Have you thought of the pros and cons of legs vs treads?

That is nothing close to a tank. The size difference is ridiculous and the cost to mass produce a battle tank version of that. Why when the US already has a perfectly capable battle tank. They might not replace them but to have enough of them to pose a threat if they were hijacked means there would be A LOT of these unmanned vehicles. Those mules were canceled. If they canceled such a small scale version why would they implement full battle tank versions in 13 years. Also notice that the walkers in the video had treads on their legs. Does that mean they can go from driving to standing. Why on earth would you want it to stand if it can drive. We have invented wheels to get away from legs, but we are going to go back? There are pros and cons to treads and legs, but I don't think that there are enough pros to legs to make a battle tank for the US in 13 years or ever for that matter with legs.

I apologize for my lengthy response because I know people don't like reading. I am also glad that you went through the trouble to find that video thanks.

Oh boy, a video was actually posted, this is not near of a 'walking tank'. Such a worthless argument as well, this post went from talking about the Black Ops 2 campaign to complaining about what's real and not real. Come on guys..

Why were you saying this was a walking tank? We are talking about the BO2 campaign because walking tanks will apear in a game that should be set 13 years from now. This project was cancelled already. You may want to check out my quote of the original video and my response...

Where did 3arc even say they had walking tanks? It could just be a Mobile Infantry and Light Vehicle Supressor(MILVS)

Hey, I should patent that term, btw.

I was just replying to someone who was saying none of these things will ever exist, so I told him and then others said it didn't. Not my fault it sparked an argument I was just telling one person. I won't check any video or anything, I don't even want to post here anymore, enough pointless posts have already been posted here.

You know they can alwas evolve from this model. Like the original poster of the video said. Just make it bigger, stronger, etc, and slap on some guns.

What makes you think it is that easy to make a tank walk. Did you read anything I said in the quote of the video?
