Quit = Temp Ban

Posted by V3LKRO on May 2, 2012 4:00 PM

In case you haven´t played Halo, they have a great feature to encourage players dont rage quit the game.

If you quit more than 3 times in 1 hour i think, you get a 15 min Temp ban.

This will help with all the quiters we have now in COD, less "Join in progress" games about to lose, and of course a lot less dashboarding.

    Not every quitter is a rage quitter. Some people may have business to take care of and are unable to finish up the round. I believe the system should stay as is.

    Tough one. I hate when  people leave a game early, but have had to do it myself many times (phone rings, someone at the door, real life getting in the way). Would hate to be punished for being responsible. I understand you mean constant quitting, but how would this be gauged? wouldn't most avoid this by dashboarding rather than quitting? I've heard this mentioned before... I am just not sure if it would necessarily work or prevent this from happening altogether.

    Now, if they could get rid of the glitchers and cheaters, then maybe the amount of quitters would decrease as well. Just a thought....

    Does it register if they dashboard?

    Reasons why people quit:

    -Real life causes

    -They're on the bad side of lag compensation

    -They got tossed in a losing game with no chance of recovery

    -The presence of modders, cheaters, or undesirables

    I would rather have the devs tackle the more important fundamental issues like the lag and spawns before they spend time on minor annoyances like quiting.

    Amen. I don't see it as a problem big enough to have to incorporate something like this. I would, however, like to NOT be given a loss when I get placed into a match that is ending and I am put on the losing team. I take one step, end up 0-0 and it goes on my record as a loss. :-(

    BS What a coincidence you have a "real life problem" as soon as the game ends, right before the killcam this is when the cowards usually quit.
