I grew up on halo, And then grew into competitive multiplayer through CoD. Those games look almost COMPLETELY different.
What, So if there's an advanced tank, then it must be halo? Where is your logic on this? And last I checked, There hasn't been a gameplay trailer released yet, So you can't really say that they "play the same" whatever that means.
As far as you know from what you have seen, but there is a thing about reveal trailers, they never really reveal the truth about the game. For anything could be changed since there is sitll time before the game will be released.
Never assume anything about a game or how it will or will not be just because of a game trailer ever. Never expect it to be the same as you always think or thought it should. They could radically change everything in how the game works if they so wanted too.
Ok so to start it off, you get to chose what missions to do and the choices you make mission failed or completed will effect the way the ending turns out, you can go back and play it again anytime you'd like though. You can chose to go from squad member to squad member or even to vehicle, you can drive any vehicle available, Quad Rotors, Jets, Tanks, it is all first person and as I said, choices you make can be a good or bad outcome in the storyline.
It's not being protecterish, it's truth or assumptions. They will never be alike, just because graphics and guns MAY look alike in such a tinniest way only weird people would notice, doesn't make it like that game.
Ah but I can, all FPS games play the same, they have the same basic rules. See first, shoot first, kill first, score points.
Again why the need to defend against it being compared to 'that game' afraid the developers may ever change how they make the game and make it like 'that game'?
Did you read my post about how campaign works? Here's the link to see Mark talk about campaign, tell me if this sounds ANYTHING like Halo please - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKiwJi44CgY&feature=plcp
I'm sorry that's just not true, Battlefield and CoD do not even remotely play the same. And they are both FPS's .
How the SP works means nothing compared to how the MP will be played out. So stop trying to defend it based upon how the SP will play out.
Again why the need to defend it? Afraid that it will be considered a Halo clone by people and people will not like it?
Want me to send you the link of Mark takling about the multiplayer as well? They said it's going to be almost identical to Black Ops with different guns, bigger maps, more balanced. Want the link?
Wrong they do play the same, you run around finding players to kill for points to win the match, though in bf depending on the game mode, its number of players killed and not points that determines when a team wins, unless you only play rush, wich is nothing more than demo, what with limited spawns for the attacking team and limitless for the defending team.
But basically the game plays the same, you get a weapon, you find someone and shoot them. pretty much how all fps games play, which is how Halo plays too. And now that you have even fancier looking armor it looks like a Halo clone.
