CoD meets Halo meets StarCraft

Yep pretty much the title says it all. This is CoD meets Halo. Sure there are no aliens or spartans yet but eh, that will be in BO 3 or maybe IW will run with it and do it in MW4.

 

All you can argue that its not if you want but really it is. The BO stats and Elite is similar to Halo's stat page, the new look of the armor and the weapons is getting closer to the look of Halo pre spartans. Or perhaps this is CoD meets Starcrat since Activision and Blizzard are the same company now, and Blizzard made StarCraft, and the weapons in SC did not all shot lasers. Than again not all the weapons in Halo shot lasers either. Oh and SC had mechs of sort just like this game does.

 

But if the mechs are useable in MP that would make for some larger maps, something the run-n-gunners will not like so they will cry about the mechs being too hard to kill and need to be nerfed.

 

So either way this will be a Halo errr Starcraft errrr CoD like none other and probably will not be what most Halo fans where hoping for or wanting. Going to have to change up those player skills and learn how to deal with all the new things in the game. Lots of learning and adapting and overcoming. Something that neither the Halo players or the CoD palyers ever seemed to like to have to do.

 

I can see the future right now. All the nerf this weapon threads, nerf this mech, buff this weapon, fix this spawn, take away that death streak/perk/armor ability that gives them unlimited health when they respawn.

    The 5000000000th person to compare Halo to this upcoming game, comparing sticks to needles. They look nothing alike, the weapons are completely different, the vehicles are still pretty modern just futuristic way of how it works. Just because they're all futuristic doesn't make them the same game okay?

    I have played Halo before, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach. So be disapointed all you want, Halo was just WaW set futher in the future, with a touch of BF.

     

    Actually pretty much all FPS games are alike at the core regardless of the graphics or the enemies or weapons. they play basically the same and are based around the same basic principle of play.

    No, they are not the exact same game, because they could not do that. But they are very close and similar in how they look and how they are going to play now. Just because it has no aliens or spartans does not mean this game is nothing like Halo.

    Not at all really if you think about it. and StarCraft if played as a FPS would be similar to Halo,

     

    It is pretty sad when people seem not to have the imagination enough anymore to see how the games are similar just because they feel the need to defend CoD from being compared to another game as if CoD is so much better than all other games, when really it is not.

    They are nothing alike, the gameplay is still CoD like, the campaign gameplay is completely different than any CoD or halo, especially starcraft. Do you even know how the campaign is going to work? They don't even look the same either.

    They are alike just how all FPS games are alike, you have enemies and weapons that you shoot each other with, and if you look at the armor and the wrist data pad in the reveal trailer, that is pretty reaching as far as tech goes even for just 13 years in to the future.

     

    Just beause there is no aliens does not make it any different.

     

    Than again you know I could compare this to Mech Warrior because of the mechs.

     

    Why the need to defend it eh? Why the need to try and make sure people do not compare the two? Fearful that Halo fans will come here, or that it may turn even more Haloish as time goes by?

     

    I find it funny how people in the gameing community as a whole defend games so much when compared to each other, as if they fear that their game will be changed in ways that it will not be the game they once fell in love with or something.
