Perhaps a time frame of NOW would work. The US continues to run undercover black ops missions everywhere. Why the need to jump 23 more years?

I can tell you from my experience from being A Gaming clan operator, that Black Ops 2 is being percieved as a bad version of Halo.

I am not sure what the COD developers are trying to achieve here, but it doesn't look good.  If COD moves towards ultra modern weaponry found in game like Halo and Crysis, I don't think they will enjoy the success that gamers have come to love which makes the series so unique.

Halo and Crysis are good games, but they are not games that COD players like myself get overly excited about.  I can't imagine pre-ordering Crysis 3 and then standing inline for 2 hours for a midnight release in the middle of november, and by the looks of it, I won't be doing it for Black Ops 2 either.

It is not exactly a fail, judging this game completely by the first single player trailer is like judging a book by its cover. We know nothing about the multiplayer yet, we don't know anything but its storyline and some killstreaks. Don't judge it quite yet, but you can have predictions.

The trailer we saw was from the campaign. The multiplayer and zombies mode are usually are a completely separate thing. I say let 3arch tell us this story, cos i'm sure glad that we get to to pwn zombies with MODERN/FUTURISTIC weapons. lol

It's not that futuristic. What I've seen on the trailer were current prototype weapons and it's nowhere as advanced as guns in Crysis. I'll be pre-ordering the Hardened Edition.

Black ops two is gonna blow. Since when does COD look like halo and all future warfare crap. I play cod because it's modern time or the past not all this alien robot crap. Next bo2 has nothing to with bo1 so why call it that. When treyarch gets to work tomorrow they should just start a new game from scratch. I don't see why they wouldn't make a world at war two something people would enjoy. What do yall think. I hope treyarch reads this

The year is not futuristic, no, but the gameplay looked futuristic indeed, a bit too much to be 13 years from now. I personally think they went a little overboard with the weapons and vehicles, I'm just anxious to see the multiplayer.
