Honestly if I wanted a future war game I would play Ghost Recon or Halo this is not even CoD anymore its the off spring of a 3 way between ghost recon, halo and battlefield. I do know that Activision has finally done something different for once in the last 4 years but this change is to big and I think its going to break the whole franchise. Treyarch went with this the wrong way they should have just made a new engine not add future killstreaks and guns. Also If the jets and tanks in this trailer are just for campaign then maybe MP will be ok but tanks and jets will break this game in MP and if they are in MP they better be high ******* killstreaks or ill just stick to BF3. This is just my opinion If you think differntly about this feel free to leave an answer I know I will get **** for saying this but this is my Opinion and I feel that it must be stated.

What makes it not COD? The fact that it takes place in the future?
There are no lasers or power armor. The future is simply the setting. Looking at the trailer, it looks like the same COD we know and love: cinematic campaign, and I'm pretty sure an arcade style multiplayer, and some form of zombies.
I appreciate your opinion but I am still not on the same level as your train of thought when I see the trailer all I see is tons of tanks and jets and just hope there not in MP. So think what you want there is no reason that I should disagree with your own personal opinion .
I will say this, the interactive trailer is renewing my faith in video game writers.
They're taking real world concerns and issues, and writing them into the story of the next game. Sure, it might get bogged down and hidden by the explosions and wutnot, but it's nice to see they're putting some thought into the story, and making it relevant.
I honestly think the story will be awesome but I think MP maybe ruined with the addition of tanks and espically jets if there like the jets in BF3 I can guarntee thats all people will run.

I agree with you about WWII that would be awesome as WaW is my favorite COD by far and it would be amazing to play WaW with revised graphics and new maps and guns. Also without hackers.
Now thats something I agree with you on, a WW2 or even something in the few years after would be really good, this futuristic thing really doesn't seem like the greatest idea but they are obviously just trying to push the console to its limits because that trailer to me says "this is the last cod on this gen".
so will vehicles be included in MP? are the weapons just a knockoff of Mass Effect weapons? Can I have a jet pack? and will I be able to cloak? this game already looks bad...and I dont know much about it
It looks like there is a serious chance that it might flop. Near future-type games like this are tough to pull off. More and more I am getting the sense that CoD's reign is winding down and Halo just might be ready to reclaim it's position as the standard for FPS MP games.
I grew up playing Halo - got XBL for the first time to play in the H3 beta and am hopeful that 343 gets this one right. The new features like join in progress and loadouts sound like it will have a touch of the CoD feel to it but will still be a Halo game. I think that Halo 4 and Blops 2 are being built with an eye towards the next-gen consoles - try out something new to see what works then get to work on a launch title for the new consoles.
Have we lost all context in this world? It is a sensationalized trailer that establishes the tone and setting of the game. That is all. The multiplayer trailer comes later as always. I think I got a little stupider (see, I said stupider) after reading this post. Doubt anyone accuses them of a copy and paste job this time around though. This year is reserved for the "they're copying every other future game out there. This sux soooo bad and is gonna fail sooooo bad" misery. Pathetic, miserable people.
I'm disappointed that it's set in the future, there's already a sense of 'we've seen it all before' so they're going to have to really pull something out of the bag with this one for it to be better than what's already available.. Rather than concentrating on the basics by improving the gameplay, the lag, etc they seem to be going down the same old route of giving us more 'stuff' to keep us happy, and as we've seen with MW3 that tactic doesn't work.
