I got a new modem/router , and was unfortunately strict, and it sucked. Then I unticked UPNP and I was moderate. Nothings changed over the last few days, and now im back to strict again. This game sucks when strict
Have you tried hitting it until it says open?
I've read that some ISP's actually don't allow you to achieve open. If that's the case moderate will be the best you can do. I didn't read much about it, but I read it somewhere while looking at this stuff. I'll do what I can to try and find a solution for you as time allows. I normally have free time to browse the internet at work and look up stuff like this. The last couple weeks though that hasn't been the case. If I have the time to do some searching I'll let you know if I find anything helpful.
Thanks chief. Im totally useless at stuff like this , it just infuriates me
PM your router model number to me, your modem type, and who your ISP is and I'll see what I can find as time allows. I'm swamped right now with programming projects at work, but I might free up in a couple weeks. We'll see. The days when my job only required me to prop up my feet for half of my shift are long gone. Oh how I miss them.
Its a sagem Fast 2504, my ISP is SKY.
Heres the guide I followed :
And it didnt work, I then followed the guys thread on here and did what he did, and it still didnt work.
I also ran portchecker after the 2 attempts I made, and it said the ports I intended on opening werent open. So its probably some kind of router security or firewall issue. You cant turn the router firewall off though.
At the moment ive unticked my upnp tickbox and its sometimes moderate, sometimes strict.
