Do you have any expectations for the next Call of Duty game?

I'm not going to say that I won't be buying the next Call of Duty game. I know a lot of people have been screaming that they are done, but I don't really know if I am. I'm on the fence. I am getting bored of Call of Duty right now, but then again, Treyarch does at least have me interested in what they are doing, something that never happened with MW3, so I'll take that as a sign. David Vonderhaar is doing a good job interacting w/ the community, so I'll also take that as a good sign.
However, I'm still wary. I know better than to listen to "Black Ops 2 multiplayer info leaked!" As far as I know, anything that's been told about Black Ops 2 (assuming that it's the next game) is false. I would also recommend that you ignore anything like this as well, since we don't know anything about the next Call of Duty game, just rumors.
But I digress. As I said, Treyarch has me at least a bit interested in what they are doing, but that's not a guarantee that anything will happen. Nothing may happen.
If the next Call of Duty game turns out to be actually good (and it has to be $60 worth to even get a wink from me) I might be interested, but I don't really expect much to change. The franchise is at a stalemate and for me it has become unacceptable.
To readers, do you expect anything new and fresh from the next Call of Duty game, and if so, will you be investing in it?
Atleast for me, i cannot wait for black ops 2 because black ops 1 was sick! Multiplayer was amazing because the guns were great and the maps were amazing, no superoverpowered weapons such as in mw3, good spawns and when you got bored of MP you could play gambling games or zombies, zombies were really amazing and really fun to play with friends... I just remember playing with my brother and 2 other friends friday at night it was realllyyyyyyyyy fun.
My expectations: Don't worry, treyarch is way better than infinity ward and im pretty sure that black ops 2 is going to be an amazing game. Just wait for it ! ![]()

I have some hope that Treyarch will do something to bring back some flavor to Call of Duty, but I'm still going to be cautious.
Come on, people!
i will rent first, i am not paying for another game that lags none stop. and i thought the guns in lag ops were boring and so were the kill streaks. zombies do nothing for me.
i have still not done the campaign. i just find there games less fun than iw. if they all played without the heavy lag comp, i would pick mw +2and 3 over the others. i am more looking forward to far cry 3. and no paying for dlc, you make your own maps.
The campaign is also something that I want improved. I think it'd be cool if Call of Duty lessened on the action and more on the seriousness of conflict. I want there to be themes to the campaign, not just "America, F*ck Yea!" Themes about morality, politics, etc.
I'd like CoD to go back to its roots. By that, I mean the concept of "No one fights alone", and the dark, gritty reality of war. Treyarch made WaW (one of the best CoD campaigns ever, IMO), and I hope they can keep some elements of that.
That's also another thing I'd like back. We need to get rid of the lone wolf philosophy (or at least tone it down a bit) and get back to the good, competitive game that was once Call of Duty.

Judging by Vahn's tweets after MW3 released, the Treyarch livestreams with a few YouTube commentators & the Black Ops unofficial feedback thread & a zombie feedback thread on another forum (which is being viewed by the zombie developers), I think we'll in good hands with the next COD title. (so far)
Hopefully by the time they release the first trailer for the new COD, the forums will be updated in the Black Ops HQ to hopefully start discussing what we want to see or changed with some developer interaction.
For those who don't follow Vahn, listed below are topics he has been discussing to the community for their next title: (over twitter)
- LMG's (How can we improve them?)
- Second Chance/Afterlife Perks
- The Controversy over Stealth Perks & UAV's/Spy Planes
- COD Points vs. Unlocking at specific ranks
- Having to play specific game modes to unlock pro perks
- Map Design (He had a dig at how MW3's maps were an "Anthill Simulator"
- Map Color
- How a Prestige System should work
- Sniping
- The "leave game" system/How to encourage players to stay in a match in progress
- Should secondary machine pistols be an option?
- Weapon Proficiencies
- The knifing system
I might be missing a few things but this is what I remember from the top of my head over the last few months.
So if you're not following Vahn now, I suggest you do it now to get a good idea on where they believe COD should be heading.
I am liking what David's doing right now, since he is engaging the community more than before and especially more than Robert Bowling ever did.
And where are the forums where David is involved? The unofficial feedback thread? I'll have to check that out....

Thanks! I'll be posting some ideas for David to marvel at! Muahahahahaha!
I have a lot of expectation
Like what?
I will preorder it when it is released, no matter what. BlOps2 if that's what it is, will be my first CoD where I go super hard in the paint. I hope it is a cleaner, polished, shiny version of BlOps1. If they bred MW2 in it's prime (which was my favorite) with Black Ops (minus CoD points, seriously screw those) I would fanboy all over it.
Something I would love seeing... A class system like Battlefield. I think that would balance it a lot more. Also, bolt-action rifles need to be the only way to quickscope. I have dashboarded so many times because of RSASS spraying BKs. Make them set up a bipod with those damn things. Seriously, I hate them.

You really think that's a good idea?
Yup.
Well of course I have expectations, I think everyone does.
Now do I have HIGH expectations? Eh. If they do move into the future realm and go a little sci-fi with the next title, then I'm excited.
I'll get it and play it until Homefront 2 comes out.
I will not be buying the next COD at launch this time. I have very little faith that they will fix the lag compensation issues that have plagued COD since Blops. They have had years to figure out how to make lag less of an issue since the release of MW2 and have done nothing but make it worse. If they didn't fix it after the absolute disaster that was Blops and even ended up making it ten times worse for MW3 then what are the chances that they will have it figured out in a couple more months?
I have absolutely no interest in zombies and really don't get what all the fuss is about. It could actually be fun if there were some sort of completable objective other than prolonging failure for as long as possible.
