Reading these forums on a daily basis, it never ceases to amaze me at the amount of people who bad mouth and condemn someone, because they made a spelling or grammar error. So what if it's a ,or . or a ! or a? is out of place. The point is that the person should still be allowed to state their opinions on this forum without being berated. I can still read and understand 99.9% of peoples posts.
I haven't been poked for spelling errors, but it just annoys me when elitist contributors try to make out that peoples opinions don't matter or are invalidated because of a small error in spelling or grammar.
Seriously guys, you have to start growing up and acting like an adult, if somebody's opinion is different from yours.
Agreed.
Although if someone makes a post and insults other forum members for being 'retardad', 'rediculous' or 'imature', then I'd say they are fair game.
True and that type of contributor, i do not defend.
I agree, but if someone tries to insult my intelligence whilst typing like "diz"... well then i will pick them up on their grammar.
If they type in one whole paragraph and it is actually impossible to read, well then i'll pick them up on that.
Well said Fella.
Still think people should check their posts first b4 they submit them.
I'm more bothered about my own spelling than anyone else's, if I realise I've made a mistake I have to go back and change it, lol. ![]()
I do that too. It makes me wonder if I'm turning into the guy that Nicholas Cage played in "Matchstick Men".
Haha!, I've not seen that film.
If I can't correct something I've said, in a message, I'll resend one with the correction, lol. ![]()
Again i agree also with what your saying. What i really meant was that if someone made a point for example and it wasn't offensive in any way, but made a spelling error, then that it is sometimes used against them to try and invalidate what there saying.
Why should I listen to you, OP? You don't even use proper capitalization.
He lost me entirely after not using "grammatical error(s)."
If you're going to call it out... well... let's just say it's tempting to "fix" the whole OP. Good thing for everyone I've got more important things to do at the moment.

Listen? You mean you can hear him? I've got to get me one of those new fangled computers that reads to me! I still have to read all this sh*t on my own. It just usually turns into me skimming over some words and then hitting the exit button though.
Of course my computer reads to me. I always have the latest technology when it comes to PCs:

Know the difference between "to" and "too"
thatz al1 i;m gonna, say
I really only tell people that they screwed up their grammar if they say that someone is stupid, but make a basic error at the same time.
Like this: "your a moron".
I find those posts hilariously hypocritical.
But without question, making spelling mistakes is bad because it is one of the first things people judge you on. This is made especially worse on this site because it has a spellchecker.

People don't understand fuctions like that. Just like the search fuction. It's a myth.
