Theyre prob playing mw2 cause thre were a couple maps you COULD actually snipe on there.

I'm still sniping, but you probably won't see me as I'm in some grass wearing a ghillie suit... Not running around quick scoping like some fecktard.

They are still in the game. They can usually be found in dropzone outside the area of combat.

You will find the majority of them in dropzone makes the games boring and easy.

whats the point in sniping when some random loser can just out snipe you with an Ass Cramming Rifle. I played with the 50 cal for almost an entire prestige, even got it gold but I got sick of trying to sit in and defend a single building or area just to pick off stragglers because snipers are useless in medium range combat and quickscoping is only possible at extreme close range at which point i may as well just knife the guy.

If you want to be a monster at long range combat while still being somewhat effective at close range just use an assault rifle. If you want to camp a single line of sight just use an LMG.

Snipers are completely useless in this game because the maps are just too damn small and the power level of the other weapon categories have increased from previous titles, snipers are either one hit wonders or hitmarker hell.

The only people I've ever seen do well with snipers use snipers exclusively and have months of game time with them.
