You do know that if someone is running Dead Silence, they can sound whore too while not being able to be sound-whored?

Btw for everyone else that guy in the video vims posted is NOT lowering his "speed" its bandwidth just want to clarify that , whats most likely happening is he's just eliminated himself from the host selection pool as his upload speed is too low.

 

and before ghandi comes on here waving the wah everyones throttling their connections its bad for the game one word ...piffle a 1.5 upload is way more upload bandwidth than you need to PLAY the game, hosting not so much but then hey who wants to be host right

Don't worry Mac, edited my post for clarification. (no need to slap me)

I did use the internet bandwidth settings but didn't use the manual option to limit my bandwidth, have been using the auto setting for a while but it wasn't helping.

But last night, I'd decided to experiment it by using the manual setting and lowered it to 3000 in which I was rarely getting host & the game seemed to running much better for me.

It could be just removing myself out of host selection but my god the last 5 matches I played last night were different. (in a good way)

If sitrep effectively counters dead silence in the next patch then I have no problems with dead silence.  I really only find dead silence effective when rushing anyway.  Its redundant for campers because they don't move much anyway.

I realise what the perks are/what the fix was supposed to fix.  And like I said.. it's made no obvious difference so far.

GHandi, has the boosting problem in infected and other playlists been addressed yet?

We have banned and stat reset many, many thousands of players for boosting and have scripts running which analyze match data running constantly.

It never hurts to PM BanCandy here or message on the console any offenders you see in any event.
