KD is very misleading. Read on why.

Here's how it goes. (The numbers are the types of players you can be for that category)
<1 = 1.playing just for fun, messing around, or 2.just a noob/not very good. 1.(cont.)You may be an excellent or average player but you love to mess around and have lots of fun doing so.
1.0-1.5= 1. you are an average to above average cod player 2.You are an amazing cod player, that will often mess around and have fun, you may rush blindly just because you don't feel at the moment going tryhard (sleepy or don't feel like trying). You are a fabulous team/objective player and play to win and have fun. You can beat anyone at this game when you are trying your best. This is the best kind of cod player there is.
1.5-2: 1. You are the type above, just that you mess around a LOT less often. 2.You have a campy playstyle, and are a below average player. 3.You never mess around and are a good cod player 4. you play in full 6's all the time. 5. You are just a solid cod player. 6. You don't play the objective well enough, and care about your kd
2-3= 1. You camp very hard and dashboard, and never play the objective. 2. You are an excellent cod player, who plays the objective somewhat wel 3. you play in full 6's all the time and and spawn trap 3.You don't play the objective good 4. You are a below average play that solely plays this game for kd ratio
3+= 1.You are a no life, who camps, doesn't ever play the objective and dashboards 2.You play in full 6's(parties) and spawn trap 3. You are an excellent cod player, but doesn't play the objective efficiently 4. You are just an amazing cod player at everything (doesn't camp or patrol etc)
I disagree with the second one, the 1-1.5 I have a very hard time believing someone with a 1.5 kd, even if they mess around a crapload, could beat ANYONE when they try.
As well as in that category of 1-1.5, you don't mention that they are a terrible player and just camp. You'd be surprised how many people with low k/d's still camp. Even though in my opinion, unless you have a 2.5+ k/d, you have nothing to camp for anyway.
I would have to disagree I have a 1.5 but I never camp and I average I would say about 35 kills a game and 15 deaths I never camp I play objective well.
There could be a few more player types in each range but this is a solid start.
3+, "You are a no life". Ignorance at it's finest.
To be fair one of the options: "4. You are just an amazing cod player at everything"
The thing is, there are so many things wrong about this thread. My Brother can barely pull a 1.0 anytime he plays, and he never leaves the house; aka a "no-life".
I'm an advocate of developers removing stats from video games. I see no benefit of having them in the game, only negatives.
this seems like a thread dedicated to defending the average player who holds a 1-1.5 KDR. Notice every other catagory, thier is negatives except the 1-1.5 range. Most likely the OP has that kind of KDR.
Anyways, Everyones of these catagories should have the same player types. No matter what the KDR, A player could be a Camper, a dashboarder, a rusher, a mess around player, a full team player, or a great player. Ive seen players with 5 KDR rush around and mess around during games and I have seen them camp in a corner and go 15-0 in domination. On the flip side ive seen .5 KDR's beast it up and go 60-2 and ive seen them cower in corners with motion sensors even though they have nothing to camp for.
agreed. I should have put under 1-1.5 : 3. You camp and dashboard just to get a kd over 1. I think that's fair, and common
i believe that if you're KD is higher than your GPA, then you truely have no life
My GPA was 3.8 at the end of my 4 year business degree and my KDR in MW3 is currently 4.29.
Does that make me have no life or does that just make me good at COD. I dont see how grades and KDR pertain to someones lifestyle.
I think anyone with over 20 days played in MW3 has no life.
How about me? Mine is a .68 .,...Wait dont answer that.
k/d in an arcade game means nothing.
theres a couple things wrong with your post:
i have a 3.04 k/d, i really only play once every few days, i go to school for engineering so that takes up most of my time
i only play kill confirmed (domination has too many k/d whores)
i only use specialist
i only rush
i dont dashboard my winning % is only around 57% which is too low for me to dashboard and too high for a rage quitter
i mostly play with 1 or 2 ppl max
if you dont believe me here is my gt: vinxthexchin look me up on elite
(i also use alot of stupid weapons like the pm-9 and the m16)
point being, its a really easy game so someone with a high k/d doesnt necessarily mean anything youve said
There are positives and negatives for each category. I didn't include EVERY single type of player. Feel free to add more.
yea i gotcha i meant some players are legitimately just good (not saying much considering anyone can really do well in it)
Lets be honest. It's not hard to keep a high KD.
In fact, it's insanely easy. Especially with so many players that blindly rush every where. You don't even have to "camp" to hold a 3+ KD. May just be me though.
In cod there are only two types of people, the ones who care and the ones who don't and your obviously one that cares, so much so that you decide to make a thread slating people who play the game the way they want to, really, why bother?
