For all those who THINK they have a lag issue.

First off I will admit there is a lag issue in MW3. I've seen it.
Recently I bought a second PS3 cause my son was playing Black Ops all the time and I could never get time to play. I have been as many of you convinced that my bad playing was due to a lag issue. My KDR was jumping all over the place. Sometimes not even able to get a kill.
My son recently switched to MW3 and we play together all the time. While my KDR keeps jumping all over the place my stone cold killer son is fairly consistant at a 2 to 4 KDR averaging 40 to 50 Kills per games. Even in TDM. Where I average...well not even half that.
To sum up I can't blame my poor playing on lag or hacking or anything else. It's all me. I just don't get. I watch top players on the theatre and I watch my son play and there doesn't seem to be anything special that they are doing.
I give up on MW3. Maybe I can go back to WOW. Does anyone still play that?
Well there may be some truth to that. there is a problem way beond you. about half way through the game if i am doing good (20-2) then somehting will change. i will finish at 25-21. you cant tell me that the second half of the game i just lost my touch.
Been there done that, I once started a match in KC and was 34/1 in the first two minutes, running assault (The score was 24/9) an it ended up 58/14. I still had air support flying around. I died 13 times and got 24 kills (and I still had an AH-6 and pave low flying around). What happened? Nobody knows.
I've noticed that too. Try this: after going on your streak and getting a good K/D, switch your playstyle as well. I would recommend a highly cautious playstyle. This will help keep your numbers up. And No, I am not advocating sitting in a corner.
Same thing happens to me all the time. I will go something like 10-0 then as soon as I die the connection suddnely changes and I cannot buy myself a kill. Once I was 25-2 and ended the game 26-20.....I kid you not, the connection turned the tables on me. No host migration, nothing.
Some days are better than others, that's all I can tell you. You will, and I repeat, you will have lag problems in this game. And it's going to drive you mad and make you rage quit. I try to suck it up and remain in the game. And I've won tons of games where lag was consistant. It still sucks.
My PS3 is only a month old, and my lag issues is just as bad as anyone else.
This update on the PS3 side has left it unplayable. Going back to Battlefield 3.
It's unplayable for me aswel since the patch. My entire party was all on 1 bar earlier, even for those with 100 mb broadband.
I think you will find now you have 2 ps3's (I'm presuming they are on the same isp connection?) that you and your son are now benefiting from the lag compensation, that's why he is getting those scores. I play tdm pretty much all the time and never see anyone getting 40 - 50 kills per game, I see 30+ kills but have never seen 40 - 50 in tdm in mw3
I second that about TDM. That's all I play.
They used to have that balancing function in a lot of sports games where the losing team will all of a sudden start making all their shots or catches or whatever. Maybe the last patch added some sort of score balancing with the lag. And the reality of it is they don't have to tell anyone.
But anyway, yeah. Some people are just really good. No matter what.
Those bastards...
I can lose to someone better than me no problem.... but do not give me a handycap cause i am kicking but. that is just wrong.
I dont think i may have a lag problem as your post suggests its all in my head..im pretty sure its real.
To be honest this patch had made the lagging issue even worse. And whats weird is that I was playing a Search and Destroy match today and I died. When I was playing there happened to be no lag at all. But when I was spectating my teamates, they were happen to lag so much, and people would just get shot from the front and not even know of it... and in the Game kill there was no lag at all. I just think thats weird..
