Re: Blind-Eye Assassin vs. Recon Hardline

The main argument is usually that a lot of Blind Eye/Assassin users don't use Blind Eye to actually help the team a lot of the time, as in shooting down air support, destroying sentries, and such, but moreso just to hide themselves from such things so they can keep on rushing around solo/campi and killing without 99% of the worry of that Attack Helicopter/Pave Low/Sentry Gun/etc going after them. Only really bad luck will get them killed by them otherwise.

I've seen more than my fair share of teammates with Blind Eye/Assassin just run past active enemy Sentry Guns to take out a group of people nearby and allowing that Sentry Gun to mow down me and other teammates that aren't equipped with it when they could've taken just a split second to destroy it before moving on all because they get more points from killing those people, padding their K/D, etc. Same thing with Attack Helicopters and the likes. Blind Eye user teammates tend to use it just to hide themselves from such things and not to actually shoot it down at all to help the team, allowing it to mow down me and the rest of the team as a result. Doesn't even try to shoot it with their gun.

In terms of class changes...well...that SHOULD be part of the game more. There shouldn't be any setup that works in virtually every situation, virtually all the time, so having to change up your gameplay at times is what helps keep players on their toes and needing to adapt to different situations. I've had to change classes to do such things, including shooting down stuff, in order to make the situation more favorable for my team, even if I myself didn't like it. It's also why they give you more Custom Classes if you choose to get them; so you can have more options to pick from in different situations instead of being stuck with the basic 5 and possibly not have a good answer for one.

Re: Blind-Eye Assassin vs. Recon Hardline

Are you serious. There arent usually that many UAV's up in tdm. You should be able to deal with 4 or less in one game. All you need to do is adjust. Just rush to cover more. But the issue with Blind eye assassin combo isnt avoiding uav's. Its never been that way with me. Its that they do it to HIDE. The dont leave spawn and cozy up in a snug little corner while adsing. While 99% of the time running with assassin pro but not blind eye pro. They have no intention of shooting anything down to help the team. Recon players get assisst that help build killstreaks for 2 players. That is toughtful. Thinking in a game to help you win is not a noob move. Playing hide n go seek in corners is.

Its SoH, Hardline, Marksman for me

We are saying the same thing.  I have no issues with anyone running BE/ASS from the get go.

When I run Bling Eye and Assassin, it is 100% for the purpose of taking down air support.  I get BE pro every prestige.

Sometimes I hate not having SOH though (my take down class runs support so I can have a SAM turret and an EMP - again, for taking out everything in the sky)

Thats the thing. I hardly ever see most of those kids with BE pro. Its always assassin and the never attempt to shoot down things either

yea I hear that. I am always so dissapointed when I shoot 2 into an AC130 and noone has anything for the final shot... this is why I run support: So I can do it myself with a SAM!

Re: Blind-Eye Assassin vs. Recon Hardline

They both have their annoying exploits to be honest.

The thing I hate about most Blind Eye/Assasain users is they don't take out air support. The point of a perk making you invisible to air support is so you can take it out. I have no issues with anyone camping in a corner with Blind Eye/Assasain, but when air support starts coming in I expect them to shoot it down.

Recon/Hardline can get annoying only when some tool decides to spam an XM25. I was on Hardhat playing Kill Confirmed, and some kid was sitting by where the B flag is with his XM25. He had Recon/Hardline, and then obviously had specialist on for Scavanger. He just sat by B and would spam the XM25 in the general direction of the door leading from A and the tunnel leaving from C. I think he ended up with 25 assists that game, and he claims he was only a couple off a MOAB. People who abuse the perk like that are pretty annoying as well

Re: Blind-Eye Assassin vs. Recon Hardline

I switched up my classes last night after a couple of these threads and now I only have Blind Eye and Assassin on the class I use when the other team starts spamming UAVs. I didn't think about including the EMP grenade or the SAM turret in the mix. Thanks.

Blind Eye is one of the first perks I get pro in every prestige. I think the only other perk I might Pro first would be Quickdraw because it's on the First Recon default class.

Key word you just used.... KIDS.

They ruin the game with the spamming of uav's and over use of toobs. They are the ones we see running around and being shot by the red dots on the map. it is hilarious to watch them die. Ill even call them out for them. "Hey, to your right".....they die.... , then i ask "didnt you see the red dot?"
