Arizona to Ban Trolling(For real)

That's right folks, the Arizona legislature has passed a measure that would make it illegal to troll anyone using ANY electronic device. The bill is now sitting on Gov. Brewers' desk and is waiting for her signature, so if you live in Arizona and you troll, well you can be charged with a class one misdemeanor and serve 6 months in jail.

Where's your freedom of speech now?
But 6 months in jail sound pretty harsh
Good thing I live in Ohio else my trolling days maybe nearing an end.
Well I hope some of your fellow Buckeyes learn how to drive a car, because that is the worst trolling I have ever seen...
This is a clear violation of free speech but I don't think Obama will have it challenged since he does not believe that the US Supreme Court can strike down laws...
LMAO! Well said!
It's called the "Billy Goat Act".
"Escape from Arizona: The Extradition of Snake" does have a ring to it for part 3. Wonder if Kurt would be up for the role...
This is great for non Arizonans .
I highly doubt that Arizona has a lot of trolls on the various forums of the interwebz.
I think what happened is that the leader of Arizona's son/daughter got expertly trolled ( probably by reaper or EviL) and cried all the way home. Really wouldn't doubt it.

Considering that for 3 months of the year they rarely leave their homes because of the extreme heat, i would actually say they have a large amount of trolls on teh interwebz.
That map is full of failure.
I might have to move. I really dont have a problem with the intent of the bill (stopping harassment online, bullying via social media etc) however I think the use of the words annoy and offend leave it way too open for interpretation.
Theoretically speaking If I posted in the comments that "this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard." I could be arrested because that comment annoyed someone????????????
I think that a federal appeals court would strike it down, if it Gov. Brewer put her signature on it.
I would agree, in fact there was already a change made to the verbiage of the bill to remove the vaugeness of it.
I still think that it still could be struck down if it violates free speech. I am all for preventing cyber bullying but most of these laws probably the 1st amendment, but that's what I think, I'll leave the decision up to the courts to decide that.
