MOAB strategies

So there seems to be a lack of interesting topics here lately, so, tell me what your strategy is when you are going for a MOAB. What game type do you seem to have the most success in, favorite maps, what class setup do you use, party or not, etc. Discuss.

Oh and Ill start it off. After trying out different strategies for the better part of a week I got my first MOAB in a game of HC KC the other day. I was playing solo, and the class I used was:

AK 47 with red dot and kick

MP9 extended mags

claymore

stuns

Blind eye

Assassain pro

Stalker pro

Support with UAV and Ballistic vests only, no reward in the third slot.

Played on Arkaden and wasnt really even attempting to go for the MOAB, it was one of the first matches of the day for me, so I was just "warming up" so to speak. Late in the match when I got my fourth set of ballistic vests in one life I realized I was close and played extra careful to try to make sure I got it.

i mix it up between SMG and AR. current setup:

-PP90 with ext mags and silencer

    -semtex with portable radar

-Specialist package: initial 3 being sleight of hand, hardline, stalker

i play on domination and team deathmatch, and i rush like hell

The ballistic vests on HC were a nice touch. Where did you find most of your kills? Outside the buildings or in the hallway near the escalators?

Going inside the mall area on HC is a death sentence IMO. Too many places for dark corner mcdoogles to hide, too many spawns around it.

That's what I thought - inside is a mess. It's either a bunch of sloppy firefights or a camper's fest. Great job! If you post a video of it I'll definitely check it out!

    Re: MOAB strategies

I get moabs in 2 game modes. #1 Sabotage. I usually camp the hell out of the enemey spawn and get Moabs. T95, Tac insertion, Scavanger, hardline, Marksman ( To weed out snipers camping in the spawn ). As for the other game mode. I usually get 1-2 moabs a night is  Infection. I have a spot on about every map. All depends on what weapon i am using. So far the only weapon i have not gotten a moab with is a sniper.

lol i wasnt judging buddy. it's good you got yourself a MOAB, but your play style seems way too campy.

            Re: MOAB strategies

No doubt and i agree with you 100% I am not a camper usually. I run and gun in TDM or KC. But when i play objective games i camp it up. i am always in a party of 6 and we never lose games. So instead of triple capping in domination, we will hold 2 flags and rake in the kills, As for sabotage i know what i do is wrong. But the sapwns are screwed in demolition in this game

also, because i play solo it can be incredibly difficult getting MOABs. im always brought into games with the noobiest of noobs (argh).

                Re: MOAB strategies

If you want a good tip on getting a moab and dont care what gam mode. You should really play infected. Camping is what you usually have to do anyway.

Here are some of my infected game tips to get a moab on.

Hardhat type 95. Stay up around Domination B. keep a sharp eye into the center of the map and towards domination *a*. Dont worry about your back as most behind you will be busy watching from the *c* area. Be sharp and accurate.

Bootleg type 95. hang in dom *a*. Stay in the corner looking toward the passage from the center and stay behind cover by the trash cans. I have gotten multiple Moabs here.

bakara FMG's. Camp the top of the building that says youth hostile. Stay behind the stairs and go to work.

Arkaden. Type 95 or Stryker. For type 95 stay behind the stand at burger town. Just watch for random knives from the top. For the stryker. Camp and patrol the area in front of burger town ( same can work for the FMG's as well.

Dome is tough but if you have a friend watching your back and the other entrance to the top of the dome. You can get a Moab by lying down and covering the stairs in any weapon mode.FMG's and PP90 is tough because you burn through ammo fast and you really cannot move to collect baggies.

I have never gotten a Moab on seatown, Carbon, resistance or the snowy map.

        Re: MOAB strategies

I've gotten quite a few, maybe more by accident then most, but I can pretty much guarantee one on Outpost playing infected w/ the pp90m1. I roam around while the survivors still out number the infected and get to 8 before I start to work my way back to the hanger where I usually have 11-13. After that it's pretty much let them funnel into you (much easier if they come through the small door).

    Re: MOAB strategies

ive gotten 8, 6 of which are in tdm and 2 in dom. i think like 5 were with the t95 with 1recon 2quickdraw 3stalker using specialist getting at 2soh 4 scavenger and 6 assassin. 1 was with the m4a1 running the same settup and the other 2 i believe were with the mp7 running extreme conditioning quickdraw and deadsilence with specialist being soh scavenger and assassin
