You know what would of been a good counter to Assassin

This is not  bashing on the perk, but i just read a post saying Assassin is overpowered. So here it is a great list to balance it.

Perk 2:

Sleight of Hand: The original from MW2 and Black Ops

Blast Shield: If it was like Black Ops Flak Jacket

Blind Eye: Keep it just like it and Pro immune to CUAV and EMP

Marksman: Keep how it is but make the pro like Scout Pro from Black Ops

or

Steady Aim: Just like Black Ops Steady Aim and Pro

Update

( Assassin- Cant be seen by UAV

Assassin Pro- No red cross hair or name )

What do you guys think??

I think Stopping Power would of been a great counter to Assassin.  That way the people who are scared to be seen and want to hide all match have a weaker weapon while those that run around and can be seen have a stronger weapon.  Make the choice, invisibility or strength.

There already is 2 counters to assassin as it stands. The perk was already split into 2  because of moaning red dot chasers. Ive always said that there would be no need for assassin if there were not UAV spammed every game. People ask, why do you need to be invisible?, well i ask why do you have to see me on your mini map?

Not knocking your suggestion btw but i would have BE and assassin still in 2 different perks but maybe with the counters that you suggest.

I've been using Assassin Pro alot lately because when I was using Sitrep & a non-Assassin perk, all I see is portable radars & players crouching right next to them.

I agree that Assassin Pro should not protect you from Counter UAV's & EMP's.

Blind Eye in my opinion should be in the same tier as Assassin (and keep these two separately) so players have a choice between being protected by Air Support OR protection from UAV support.

I completely disagree. I've been opting out of Assassin for Hardline Pro as of late and I can't tell you how many times I get shot in the back as soon as I hear "Enemy UAV". Not only that I can't tell you how many times after I spawn I immediately get ambushed by a Reaper or AC-130.

If you seriously can't handle Assassin and Blind-Eye users then you're the one that has no skill. Stop relying on your equipment to play the game for you and use some situational awareness

Ghamorra, I'm not hating on Blind Eye/Assassin and I certainly don't use it as excuse for my deaths.

It's just an idea to stop/reduce these complaints about Assassin/Stealth Perks and I believe Vahn brought it up a while back on twitter discussing the controversy of stealth in COD games in which players were suggesting that like MW3, seperate Ghost BUT put it in the same tier.

Personally, I don't want to see Stopping Power & Juggernaut return as a perk despite my enjoyment for using Juggernaut against snipers in COD4.

But give some of the perks in the Tier 2 more variety & interest. Hardline Pro is amazing in MW3 especially with 2 assists counting as kills. Quickdraw is alright but throwing things faster doesn't beat a perk that gives you immunity to UAV's, Counters, EMP's, portable radars & headbeart sensors. Overkill & Blast Shield are weak considering that with Overkill, you have secondary machine pistols anyway or with Blast Shield, the pro ability sucks. I was hoping that it'll be like Black Ops's Flak Jacket & Tactical Mask combo but it doesn't live up to it's standard.

This is not directed at the OP just my general thoughts on the subject as it comes up so much.

I prefer to not chase red dots and rely on my mini map as my counter to assassin. Check your corners/camp spots and move forward. If you are camping and complain about assassin users sneaking up on you then I dont feel sorry for you.

I just dont see what all the fuss is about assassin I mean the people using it still show up as actual people on your screen It is not like it gives them a chamelon like apperance that blends in with what is directly behind them.

    To the OP

I do like the idea of making Blind Eye and Assassin in the same perk slot to make people choose which one they want to use.

To me blind eye is more frustrating than assassin, nothing like calling in a predator against a full party and not seeing one red square.

I would indeed make cuav work against assassin pro, while adding cuavs in assault too as a 4 point streak. This way there are more ways to counter uav spam, rather than just using assassin constantly. Furthermore make Marksman work like Scout Pro does in black ops. It’s way too easy to spot anybody not using assassin with it. Killing people long range should be about skill, spotting people should not be that easy, now everybody not using assassin lights up like a Christmas tree with marksman in the game, forcing me again to use assassin while moving around.

Marksman is one of the main reason I have more assassin classes than qdraw, blast shield and hardline combined, that and easy uav spam.

Emps should be reduced to 45 seconds and become a 21 point streak, then fine it can counter assassin too. Support streaks are way too easy to get and needs a whole redo imo.

I don't see how "Stopping Power ruined CoD". That is the dumbest statement I've read so far about the perk. Stopping Power balanced the Cold-Blooded element of the game, because it created a level-field - because more than everyone was using the perk. How can something be "overpowered" if everyone is using it and it creates a balance in gun fights? Also, saying that the SCAR-H or the TAR-21 is "overpowered" is ridiculous, because last I checked, the guns in MW2 killed at about the same rate, so... don't know where you guys are getting that information from.

Anyways, regarding the thread, there's a few ways to balance out Assassin:

    • Bring back Stopping Power, and place it in the same tier slot as Assassin
    • Split the perk in half, as Blind Eye did, but keeping Blind Eye in the same tier slot as Assassin
    • Reduce the effects of Assassin

SP is a bigger problem than Assassin. I'm glad that it's basically gone from cod. It makes guns talentless to use. It forces more people to camp, since you die so quickly. It becomes more hc like with a constant radar in the sky. Spyplanes and assassin need better balancing. SP ls a talentless perk and forcing everybody to use one perk is not balance. Most people used SP for a reason. It was OP as f-ck.

I personally would welcome juggernaut back as well.  Imagine how bad the quickscopers would cry then about hitmarkers lol.

I doubt that. I really didn't see as many campers in MW2 as I did in Black Ops. Black Ops had Ghost and the Motion Sensor and besides that, KS didn't stack, which increased camping. Stopping Power isn't OP and I don't see it that way, nor I would. Considering weapons like the SCAR-H and the TAR-21 didn't really need Stopping Power to begin with, how does that change the perspective on whether Stopping Power is OP? Also, with players using Stopping Power, the playing field was even and balanced, in terms of gun fights.

I didn't call Stopping Power overpowered. This is directed at bubbacake. Although I agree with you. To say that killing in one less bullet is overpowered is ridiculous, despite the fact that Cold-Blooded made you immune to air support, sentries, and thermal. Also, redx165, I can say the same thing about MW2 or Black Ops, in comparison to perks. You're pushing it when you say that players didn't camp in Black Ops for Attack Dogs, you're crossing the line there, especially since the Combat Card viewed the type of player one was.

or instead of looking for red dots...start looking where the green triangles are.  If assassin is game breaking for you they you need to play another game.

Here is a fix for assasin and stopping power haters, Play Hardcore. The more people that play it, the more game modes the devs will make for hardcore.

In HC Stopping power is a wasted perk, guns are already 1-4 shot kills,

Unless there is a UAV Assassin is useless, for the most part.
