Let's Talk Turkey

Ok guys let's just go straight to the point and talk about everyone's favorite part of the game:
Death Streaks
Let me start off by saying no one likes death streaks. No one. All good players hate them because they award a player for doing badly. On the other side of the spectrum, when someone gets a death streak it's only a reminder of how badly they are doing. I think we can all agree death streaks are hated. So, why are they put in the game?
Well the concept behind them isn't exactly a horrible idea. When a player is just getting absolutely destroyed, they clearly need some help to compete with the better players. So they are given some help to get out of a bad streak. The idea isn't evil, but IW doesn't do it right.
So the main purpose behind death streaks is to give a player some help to compete. I know some people are disgusted by them in general, but the death streaks in MW3 don't even help the player. Some do like hollow points and even revenge. Juiced is pretty much neutral because it hardly helps get out of a bad streak. Like it or not final stand does fit the criteria of a death streak, but it is still destructive. Martyrdom and troll man's hands are 100% destructive. These don't help a player get out of a bad streak, all it does is kill an opponent. All it does is end their death streak, but then they'll just go back on another bad streak and receive their death streak once more. These two don't end a player's bad streak, all it does is end an opponent's positive kill streak. I would scrap all of these death streaks with the exception of hollow points. The rest are just annoying to all MW3 players.
My idea for death streaks, and I think you guys will like this. Keeping to my theory that death streaks should help a player get a kill (not the death streak itself getting a kill), my idea is to use Specialist killstreak as a death streak. Mind blowing I know, but think about it... This would help a player get out of a bad streak without completely infuriating the victim of the death streak. I would say a 4 death streak you get a perk, 6 death streak another perk, 8 another perk, and lastly 10 a fourth and final extra perk. Not going to have all perks at any point in this because I think that would be rewarding a bad player too much. With this I think it's giving a bad player some help, but it's not destructive to the game.
Comments? Complaints? Criticism?
I think this is a pretty darn good idea.
For me, the only acceptable deathstreak is Juiced. It's not lethal in any way, and that's how I think the deathstreaks should be, non-lethal. You say you would only accept Hollow Points, but in some way, it's also lethal, so I'd have to disagree on that.
That's the only one that sticks to my idea of helping a player get a kill without the death streak getting a kill itself or giving the bad player a huge advantage. If I called the shots I'd use my specialist idea, but I don't I'm just starting an idea.
It's not a bad idea, but I'd say no more than 3 perks on a deathstreak. 4 or more would be plain unfair. Also take into consideration that it would be very cheap, since you're basically giving the same rewards as someone getting kills to someone simply dying. Oh, and the streaks would be 5, 7 and 10 for it to work.
It's not a perfect idea, but I think you can say you'd like it a whole heck of a lot more than the current death streaks. Plus on the positive specialist you get specialist bonus and all perks, my idea would only give four perks. I personally don't see four extra perks being much, but three perks would be more reasonable I guess.
Well, doesn't juiced just get you killed faster lol. You run faster to the battlefield and hence your quicker to die ![]()
It's your choice how you use it. You can run out to get killed, or rush to the objective to get a kill.
Gobble gobbe? Gobble gobble gob gobble. Gobble gobble gob gobbl gobble! GOBBLE! HA! Gobble gobble go gobble? Gobble!
YAY porkins back! Well think about it. MW3 is created so a lot of people can have fun. To get a martyrdom (sorry for spelling) person needs to get killed 6 TIMES in arow which is not fun. I think dethstreaks should HELP players to recover NOT GIVING them kills. I wish they could have a copycat deathstreak that actually helps people recognise their mistakes.
P.S Epic turkey is epic ![]()
A good deathstreak would be specialist bonus for 10 seconds.
ps. Thats for the turkey receipe
I was quite serious when I read this post, then I saw machine's post and all I can say is that I didn't see that coming, I almost fell from my chair when I saw it![]()
No but seriously, you basically suggest that getting destroyed should let you get Specialist?
That's a great idea, but what about when you get the specialist and you're using specialist perks, could it be abused somehow?
Thats really only thing I would see as a problem, but I don't know...

Encore? There are many ways to cook a turkey...
I never realised what dead mans hand was until I died from it like 40 times in 1 night. now it never stops happening. Am I THAT good, or are theyre really that many bad players out there?
There are a lot of really crumby players out there..
I wouldn't mind dead man's hand if the explosion's radius wasn't like half the map LOL.
One time i saw a guy with dead man's hand and he didn't activate so I tried a experiment. I distanced myself about 25 meters away from him and I still took a moderate amount of damage...(red screen, guy sounds like he just ran 900 miles without stopping)
So yeah I think if they nerfed the blast radius, it be a bit more fair.
Either that or get rid of the FMG9 in secondaries and make the deathstreaks akimbo FMG9's for one kill only! ![]()
Now remeber this game was made for 8 year olds that the only kills they get is from their deathstreak.
FU!!!!!! I've lost so many moabs because of that D************** F********** deathstreaks.I've even had two moabs where right as I got them I died from it and I thought I didn't get it
Im guessing Porkies just had some unlucky games where he got deathstreaked and made this post ![]()

It was martyrdom.
As far as it being abused, I say you get the perks until you get a kill or maybe two kills, then they go away.
I still hope that they keep the packagesin blops 2 to...
Some perk stuff leaked a week or two ago. BO2 (or whatever) is said to have a Specialist type package but it will limit you to 4 extra perks making a total of 7.
Solid idea, but they probably shouldn't ever get all proficiencies.
Gobble Gobble?
I think a good death streak would be like an EMP of some sort. It's not lethal, but it only removes their HUD for a certain time. That's just my opinion.
I think that'd be worse than now. That is making the bad player better by hurting opponents. I don't think that is the right direction to go with death streaks.
Sorry, I didn't say this right. The person that is doing terrible gets the EMP, not the opponents. I don't think that death streaks should benefit the player but instead be used against them.
Oh, so you think a player should be punished for going on a death streak..
I don't think that's very just. :/
I can understand someone wanting them to get nothing, but get negatively effected. We clearly have differing opinions.
Alright. now that i think about it, you're right. How about no deathstreaks at all. :D
That's better because your other idea was cruel.

well its almost the same with point streaks its "unfair" for my team if some guy gets 6 kills he can call a airstrike
but like he never killed me and i never had the change to get him D:<
Also if the rumors about blops 2
1) No deathstreaks
Then theres no need on speculating but if its a lie then ![]()
2) ) The Specialist Pointstreak has be modified. 2 kills now gets you 1 perk. The 4th kill gets you 2 more perks. The 6th kill gets you 3 more perks. The 8th Kill gets you 4 more perks. You do not get every perk when you reach 8 kills. Perks only become "Pro" when you have them Pro
then its "unfair" that dying almost gets you the same as using specialist but i agree that juice its not a direct impact on game but it can be helpful so i dont mind it, but i would think you choose only 1 extra perk if you die 5 times but thats it, have that and juice and maybe instead of perk one that lets you have two proficiencies if you die 6 times? something like that..
I don't trust rumors.
Also I'm not saying my idea is perfect, but you see what I'm getting at with death streaks. Also I don't even think three extra perks is that much useful. Sheesh you make it sound OP. Three perks would be a whole heck of a lot better than troll man's hand.
well then trust facts like black ops didn't had deathstreaks and with all of what people are raging again about them I really don't think treyarch are going to bring them back
I never said it wasnt perfect
, 3 extra perks are very useful like i love using recon but cant use it with sucees except i use specialist with it and theres at least in mw3 i could have
SoH
Assasin
Stalker
+3 perks lets say Recon, Quickdraw and steady aim and you have a pretty good combo and thats for me unfair that somebody can get 3 extra perks for just dying but its a hell a lot better then dead man hand o last stand
Yes, but give those perks to a guy who went on a ten death streak.. I don't think that's help them as much as you're making it sound. Especially if they get those perks for one or two kills.
yeah maybe i am over reacting i just hate turkeys and with that title well i have problems.. and i really hate dying from death streaks they make the maps small like in big maps you can shoot them from far away but small maps REALLY? you dont even have a chance against death mans hand ![]()
That'd be like punching a toddler in the nuts for trying to walk and fall over.
Deep fried
To start, take the wrapper off of the turkey. Remove and discard the neck and giblets.
Deep-fry outside on a flat surface, far away from homes, garages, wooden decks, etc.
To determine how much oil is needed for frying, place the thawed turkey in the fryer basket and place in fryer. Add water until the top of the turkey is barely covered. Remove turkey, allowing the water to drain from the turkey back into the fryer. Measure and mark the water line. Use that line as a guide when adding oil to the propane fryer. Note: There should be at least 3 to 5 inches from the water line to the top of the pot so oil doesn’t boil over.
Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Add oil to the fryer based on the test mentioned above.
Preheat oil in fryer to 375 degrees.
While the oil is heating, prepare your turkey with any seasonings, marinades, or injected flavor that you desire.
When oil is hot, turn burner off and slowly lower turkey into the hot oil. Slowly lowering the basket helps prevent the oil from bubbling over. Turn burner back on.
Cook turkey about 3 to 4 minutes per pound.
The turkey is done when the dark meat is at an internal temperature of 175 degrees to 180 degrees and all white meat is at an internal temperature of 165 degrees to 170 degrees. (Turkey parts may take 4 to 5 minutes per pound to reach the recommended temperatures.)
When the turkey is done, slowly lift turkey from pot and place in pan or on paper towels to drain. Let the turkey stand for 20 minutes before removing from rack or basket.
I really dont care if deathstreaks are in or out.
But the way I see it, if you are good enough to keep killing the same guy over and over again you ought to be good enough to know to expect something like the guy blowing up.
If you cant deal with a deathstreak, then maybe your killstreak was based a bit more luck than skill.
Does it help the user? ........ Not really. It can by stopping the enemy's killstreak so you dont have to worry about air support or something just to add to your misfortunes. They just kind of lightene the game up for a guy having a rough time.
But as meantioned, its just as fair as killstreaks. I mean really ..... if you are good enough to get the kills, why need killstreak rewards just to give you more of an advantage.
As far as chosing which one thats more "respectable" to use ........ well, they are all deathstreaks, and you just died over and over to get it. I'm amazed at how many final killcams I've seen with the killer using juiced. To compre it as "nonlethal" ......... I dont know about that. I have more issues dying by these guys than dmh. Shoot a guy, reload, and before you can fire again this dude is slashing your throat.
I like dmh myself. Its not that often that I go on such a long deathstreak, but its funny as heck when I do. I toy with people to sucker them, or sometimes I'll try and chase them down. But I almost always get a good laugh out of it.
true, but it kind of sucks when you run and you see a glimpse of the enemy and shoot at him and "kill him" and you have no time to avoid the C4 from dead man's hand since he's at hugging distance from you.
Still, I wouldnt mind if I wasn't on a killstreak run, but if I needed one for a MOAB i'd be a little bit ticked off
like that one time where I got a moab, called it in, and with 1 second left from the explosion the host ended the game ![]()
As far as expecting a death streak I understand that principle, but I usually assume that the guy at least has killed one person before reaching the deathstreak. It's a bad assumption I know, but the main purpose of my thread was to help improve death streaks. Personally, in total I don't mind the death streaks. I think they can be improved especially since a majority of the community can't stomach them. My goal was to construct a more reasonable death streak system, and by this I'd have to say I favor death streaks in the game, just not the current ones.
As for lethal death streaks I meant the streak itself gets the kill. It takes some amount of work for someone to run up to you and stab you. Martyrdom drops a nade where you died, which doesn't take much work. Dead man's hand can take a little skill, but the explosion radius is a bit ridiculous.
The toms are struttn' and I can't wait for the season to start. Boy, do I love turkey huntn'.
Sorry I had to.
I like the Idea of specialist death streak. The only death streaks I hate are deadman's hand and final stand sucks. It catches me by surprise and I can't hit him lol. ~Bonecollector
