the pump actions shotguns in this game are just completely borked up, but this is the way that infinity ward wants them. If you could consisently kill people 5 feet in front of you, shotguns would be overpowered. Hell the usas is just as consistent up as the ksg and MORE consistent than the spas and model, and it fires over twice as fast. How the hell is that suppose to make any sense?

and just as i say that, and after giving the game another chance after taking a week break from it this happens
that is a spas with damage, and you can see at the beginning that i am also on hollow points. These shotguns are just borked, something just goes terribly wrong at times when the pellets leave the gun that infinity ward refuses to fix or even admit to

Use the Spas in MW2, those shotguns were really close to being balance, if they were primaries nobody would've complained I'm pretty sure. I think the Spas with damage should be like the MW2 one.
I sometimes play MW2 just to use the good old Spas, which actually kills people. So much fun.- Report Abuse

There are so many screen caps of just epic fails in shotgun consistency. We have pictures of hitmarkers from literally 10ft away with the 1887 equipped with damage and steady aim and literally perfect aim. There is no way lag even should be able to muck up a shot bad enough to cause such a fail shot. Here is the link to the thread, I can't post the pictures on here for some reason.

I played mw2 the other day for about 5 games. The fifth game was on estate. I went 65-5 with a cold blooded spas-12. I didn't have any faster aim from light weight or more damage from stopping power, just marithon, cold blooded, ninja. The base version of mw2 spas 12 is better than the damage proficiency version in mw3 by a crapload. I have no Idea how they thought making shotguns take 1/2 the pellets to kill was balanced.

im still having tons of issues with close range shots.... it can be extremely infuriating. had the striker on, nailed a guy in the face from 1 ft away (was camping) and unloaded something around 6 shots.
result = i died. gah.

Alright, I've just about achieved max prof with the SPAS 12. I like it a lot more than the KSG. That said, I definitely do think it could benefit from a close damage increase though. I got robbed a few times close range and proceeded to be quickscoped or whatnot.
I also can't agree more about not putting people into DMH...it's ridiculous. I don't care about deathstreaks but the fact that DMH and to a lesser extent Final Stand completely put weapon class at a disadvantage is garbage.

This is the pre patch spas 12 with damage and emags glitch. Notice how its improved damage keeps it reliable even on a 1 BAR CONNECTION. Also remember that no one complained about the spas being over powered with its close range damage.
