Black Ops 2 NEEDS a BETA!

Activision and Treyarch, listen up.
The Call of Duty series is the most selling entertainment release of all time, but how long will you actually hold that title? Call of Duty each year gets more popular and popular, but to the fans from the start of this series it has gotten worse. I say, ever since MW2, the series has become very lackluser. Black Ops came close, but it still didn't fix the problems that was present (Second Chance Invincibility, FAMAS placebo patch, and Ghost being the best and dominant first tier perk).
MW3 is a MW2 in my opinion. Not a sense like same guns, engine, etc. I'm saying the process that they chose with the game. While they added more features, they failed to fix MW2's core problems (Deathstreaks, Killstreaks dominating the game, and Snipers being too powerful at close range).
The solution to Call Of Duty's problem is to have a BETA release. Activison has said many times they can't afford a BETA, but Call of Duty is a 4.7 billion dollar franchise. You should be able to afford a BETA at this point, no more lies. I know Treyarch are willing to do anything for the fans. I think the fans want a BETA for the game. Patches aren't gonna help a Call of Duty game get better. By the time a patch comes out, people have already quit your game.
WE are the ones who made you a Juggernaut company.
WE made you a Juggernaut company.
Only YOU can decide what's best, which should be this right here.
Think about what is important.
They have confirmed that they will provide beta invites to forum veterans.
So if you signed to the site during time of World at War and you have over 1000 posts you will receive beta invite.
1.Source first.
2.That sounds ridiculous. Everybody should get the BETA, even the n00bs and little kids because when they use something cheap, Treyarch can replace it or get rid of it to make the game better.
I've been a member since WAW but since the Elite... i had to make a new account anyways i could still get in? or cause of Elite have i no chance now ?
I'm not sure how they will handle the account verification but if you can still log in with your old account to the site and its not banned, you will probably get to the beta.
I don't think i can, i think i kinda reset my self when creating a Elite account i should have used a different email account.
Well that sucks :/
But there is always CoD XP event for others to test the beta.
Yeah i wish im in the Uk so no Cod XP over here ![]()
Matuzz maybe a lot to ask. but can you tweet Dj vahn
for me to highlight this thread to him. He will take more notice of you than me. ![]()
You slick b4stard. lol
Fake, I just looked at David Vonderhaar's twitter and he didn't tweet between January 1st and January 19th.
I looked aswell i don't think Matuzz would lie though, so maybe Vahn removed it.
They always do a beta of some type either way
lets just hope the beta team is better than the last two teams were on the pervious cods
so, how exactly is it fair to those of us that choose to play rather than troll the forums that the veteran forum trolls get to participate in the beta but we don't?

Might be unfair for some, but forum veterans deserve them.
Don't worry they are good CoD players and will iron out all the balance problems.
Did nobody notice that he posted this on April 1? Damn some people will believe anything.
There will probably be no public BETA...again. Sad, but true. Look the last the COD to have a public BETA had the worst sales TREND in the series history. Activision is not likely to make the same mistake twice.
Think of it like this- A beta is probably cheaper than hiring QA people. Plus, I'm pretty sure they don't have betas so they can keep the hype train going, but come on people, we all know how CoD plays. The MAJOR difference is just weapons and killstreaks. BO2 should have one EVEN if it is only for a week!
I think what activision is thinking seeing as games of late have started off rocky to begin with atleast, it does not want people to see how bad/good the game is before they pay for it.
People me included will buy cod just to keep up with friends so you don't get left out thats what they win on
clever sods ![]()
True, I have actually seen people say they are not buying the full game because a beta was too buggy. Sadly, the world is full of idiots like that who think beta=demo. I would gladly sacrifice several weekends to beta test and think "this is not a representation of the full game." In fact, if there was a beta, that quote should be in a huge font and you have to stare at it every time you boot it up.
The main reason why I personally want a beta is weapon balance. We could have seen the FMG9 before hand and the cruddy shotguns in MW3. I could care less about bugs because they get patched regardless, although with a beta MORE would get patched.
I totally agree dude, If you we had a beta at least a good majortity of those problems would be sorted as it is we have to wait for like 6 months plus for the game to be actually worth it which is a tread thats really starting to put me off.
Gosh I hope I can beta test!
.....The beta (I hope probably would be SUPER AWESOME!
