Lol yeah the environment sounds are way loud, but no where near as bad as some maps on Blops. Like the map with the train that would go through from time to time, and the DLC one that had missles taking off every 30 secs. Both of those events would nearly deafen me every time, as most environment sound in Blops werent that loud, so I could crank the sound up to hear footsteps better.
Half the time in MW3 there are explosions, gun fire, and kill streaks in the air making so much noise it doesnt really matter if you have an expensive headset/surround system or not, you cant hear jack.
The px5's have adjustable presets, so Im trying to figure one out that will dampen out the loud and increase the lows.
