Have you guys played the new maps much?

I am just wondering cuz I have played each one maybe twice if that. Most of the guys I play with dont have elite and even if they did I doubt we would go to a moshpit playlist with two maps. They all plan on buying them when the option comes up. The couple of times I played them I thought they were pretty good especially Liberation as I enjoy the more spread out maps. Village is really the only spread out map on the game. Interchange is somewhat but its narrow

. I honestly wish the non elite members could get the maps at the same time or a week later. At least my buddies would have them and they would pop up on the normal rotation. Just curious how much you guys play them as it was really pointless for me to get them early. Not t mention the low number playing them increases the lobby ping for me which sucks.

I have played them a little bit. Not much. Seems like I'll get a good game or two in and then the lobby will flip and I'll get host or we get a crappy host and then I'll bolt back to the regular maps. That and with me running solo a good bit, it seems like more clans are running in the new maps so that doesn't help me.

  Thats interesting that you are seeing more clans in there. I figured most people would be solo. I cant wait for them to go live so the other people I play with can buy em. Im sure most of my FL will buy em so it will make them a lot more fun. I might run on them some tonight for a bit. Ill send ya a gm inv. If i see you are on.

Not much to be honest. The moshpit system for the new maps is frustrating when you really only play one game mode and end up backing up to get domination & a new map in the rotation.

I'm just waiting for the devs to enable all DLC maps in all playlists.

  Ya man that will definately be better for me. I thought it was cool in bops when the new maps would randomly pop up. Made it much better.

It seems the first two maps were too leaned towards one play style, and overwatch is considered meh so far, they nailed it with box

I stay away as much as possible, way too much spawn killing on Pizza and I get lost too much on Liberation

I installed them and checked them out for a few minutes in a private match but I have yet to play them online. Two reasons...

Very few people that I play with regularly have the new maps and I don't want to go to a special play list to play them.

Buying the Hardened Edition has proven to be a big waste of money for me. Clan Challenges never work and the new maps aren't in the normal rotation so I never play them.

I've played them both and like them both. I don't mind the Playlist that includes TDM,Kill Confirmed and Domination - as thats the only 3 game modes I really play.

Piazza - is a really crazy run'n'gun map - great for Domination. Love my MP7 for this map.

Liberation can be frustrating on TDM with most people sniping - so I go Silenced ACR and Assassin Pro and flank like no ones business. Its better for Domination because theres less snipers and more runners.

Looking forward to Overwatch on March 29th.

Piazza is about a 9
Liberation looks ok'ish but plays like a 3 due to LAG

Played them a lot at first, but got bored playing on just the two maps so I haven't played them in a while.

This is the downside to getting the DLC early, waiting a few months for them to integrate the maps into regular gameplay.

I think if they incorporated all the maps into the Elite game mode and just weighted the new ones to come up more often people would stay in the playlist longer and make for better matchmaking.

Thoughts ?

  Definitely, but it won't happen. The problem is that everyone doesn't have the new maps because of Elite, so if you happened to be in a lobby with people who don't have the new maps, they would never come up. They'd have to start matching all premium members together and they have a hard enough time with matchmaking as it is without adding that to it.

    You didn't get what I meant - I mean you are still in the Elite Playlist which is Elite members only - but all the maps are available. People get bored playing 2 maps and keep leaving, if all the maps were available in there people would stay longer - which would mean more players in the playlist and better matchmaking.

because they thought we would love playing just 2 maps.. instead there are normally only around 4000 playing the new maps compared to 400,000 playing online.. what does that tell you about the new maps.. ?

  The new maps are good - it just tells me people get bored of playing the same 2 maps over and over again and leave - I know I pop in and out. If ALL the maps were in there people would stay longer.

I played them on Spec Ops long enough to get a feel for them. I'll play them when they get added into the regular rotation, but I'm not interested in the dedicated playlist they setup for them.

they are not in the regular playlist... so i dont play them.... boring to play same map over and over when the map itself are bad

I played the maps 6-7 times since release.I will never play them again because Piazza and Liberation are the biggest crap i have ever seen in a COD!!! Im playing COD since 2003,started with the first one and this is my last.
CHANGE TO "CS GO" its out in summer and is awesome.

I liked them! I just hope like Black Ops, they put them in rotation when everyone has a chance to buy them. I don't like having to pick them separate from the other maps!!!

The maps should already be added to the normal playlists.
With the last patch, a 'disable/enable DLC' button was added, but it's currently 'disabled'... I'm not liking this.

Like Piazza, love Overwatch, loathe Liberation. I have played them a fair bit I want to be comfortable on the maps once they release to the regular playlists.

not really, its frustrating that I have to enter a game of chance (moshpit mode) to play the new maps. I play HC TDM, I hate having to play a game mode I don't have fun playing like S&D. I bought elite (i think it was worth it just to save those $2 extra dollars), but I rather just wait for the rest of the PS3 community has access to the maps to play them. That way, I can choose what game mode I want to play.
