    Re: MW3 Servers Down?

it depends on which router you have.. Certain routers don't allow you to clone the mac address.. like the SMC router that I have..

I'm going to pick up one of the new d3 routers from rogers today.. will let you guys know if there is any change with the new router.. with the new router I get a new mac address and hopefully this will allow me to connect..

Either way, if you want to change your mac address login to the router and somewhere in the advanced settings or WAN settings you should find the mac address. It's different in every routers interface.

    Example:

In the routers web interface, click on login
-> Advanced setup -> click on WAN -> Dynamic IP address -> click on clone MAC address and save the settings.

    Re: MW3 Servers Down?

It seems that people who purchased their own routers (not through rogers) can play online with no problems.. I have two friends (one lives 5 min walk, the other 6 floors up from me), they both have their own routers and can play just fine.

Yeah that's not true. I have my own router and can't play. My other friend has his own router and couldn't play.  He did reset the router to factory settings and was able to get on.  I have not tried this yet.

    Re: MW3 Servers Down?

Rogers in toronto here also. Tried going to the playstation store today. Firstly, i wasnt even able to connect into my psn account. Once i was finally able to, i went to the playstation store which was very slow. I then got a connection error and had to leave the store. I tried the browser and it couldnt even load the damn home page.

i went to network settings to get on a neighbors wifi. When looking at the list of available networks, i saw that my wireless signal was at 65% and my neighbors was at 90%. My neighbor also had no password so i connected to their wifi. I tested the browser and it worked perfectly fine. My psn account also logged in fine.

dont know what isp my neighbors were using, but i doubt its rogers.
