You should start with only 1 Stun/Flashbang

It's bs that people get 2 of these nades, They are constantly being spammed and once you are hit it seems you can't move or are blind for the next 20 seconds even with Blast Shield pro. Every match I am hit with dozens of these and there is nothing you can do about it. Either fix blast shield so it's like Blops Tac mask, Nerf these things or restrict them to starting with one each. You only get one smoke and one EMP nade so why do you get 2 of these when they are way more effective?
I actually feel like the stun/flash grenades are weaker in MW3, people are always fighting though the stun.
You ever tryed it in 3D it hurts your eyes not fun.
It's a wishy-washy subject. I believe you should have 5 EMP nades to make them worth while. At least 2 smokes because honestly how does a smoke grenade even help you?go
A far as flash and stuns go, the only reason they seem to be getting spammed is because of how small the maps are. On nearly every map there's really only one place the action occurs. The Devs did a terrible job opening the maps so all you have to do is throw a flash or stun and half the enemy team is effected
Yeah, considering the low ranget EMP Grenades have in both throwing-to-detonation-time and blast radius effects, having just 1 feels shorthanded.
With Smoke, you may as well have 3-4 since...frankly...it doesn't seem to work half the time anyway ~_~*
But yeah, map design is one big reason why SMGs seem to reign supreme in terms of most-used weapons. Even larger maps like Bakaara, I see entire teams using SMGs.
"once you are hit it seems you can't move or are blind for the next 20 seconds"
well yeah, thats what they are supposed to do... blind you... and 20 seconds is way over exxagerated.
Not really. *trollface*
It's actually not really...if you take the full hit of a Flash Grenade, you're totally blinded and deafened for about 4-5 seconds before it starts to wear off and that itself takes several seconds after before you're completely restored. Multiply that by 2 because people love to throw one right when it starts to wear off and that does equate to almost 20 seconds without Blast Shield Pro, which merely halves the time of the effects of Flash and Concussion Grenades.
Concussion Grenades don't feel as bad unless you're hit from behind. Otherwise, if it's the front or side (sometimes even behind, but rarely), depending on how far it was thrown from, you can usually get turned to where the enemy is and, if you're good at dealing with the swaying and all, kill the enemy that stunned you.
I feel that stuns and flashes are the only things in the CoD franchise give an advantage to rushers and absolutely no advantage to campers.
I think that due to the fact that you cannot resupply via Scavenger, 2 Concussion/Flash grenades is fair. Don't like being stunned? Give up your Assassin and level your Blast Shield to pro.
What I don't feel is fair is that it takes the same amount of time to throw the flash bangs as it does the concussions. They should have made it like they have in the previous ones where it is quicker to throw the concussions than the flash bangs for obvious reasons.
Jesus I never thought people would start to ***** about flash / stun.
This forum is amazing me everyday. Haha
runner-gunner said it.
Let's nerf everything!!! That is the theme for these forums. I 100% agree with ghamorra, the size of these maps makes it seem like they are over used and on some maps people really do abuse them.
Myself included, I only do this right after I prestige. But for level 1-20 I will play Drop zone. Put on RECON and BLAST SHIELD, and flash/stun/nade the **** out of people. Last night I had 32 assists on one game. I always end up getting BLAST SHIELD PRO after 2 or 3 matches and after about 5-6 matches I've got RECON PRO and almost maxed out BLAST SHIELD.
It was hilarious b/c I just reached 7th prestige, completely forgot to go and play DROP, and I get to level 5 and I'm like WTF, why is it taking so long to level up to 20? I remember about good old DROP, in one match I went from level 5 to level 12. Next match from 12-15. I think it only took 4 matches to get me to level 20, where SPECIALIST is unlocked. Then I went back to my beloved HC KC. For me that is the easiest way to go from 0-20 in like 5 matches. I love it.
I love having 2 and with how often I encounter campers thats not enough.
Disagree with OP, and totally with ghamorra Flashes etc are fine... leave the game alone.. DOWN with NERF'ing
Flashes are unfair. They need a smaller blast radiation and 2x less long effect so that using blast shied pro actually has meaning. I also hear people say nades are weak, well I die randomly to them all the time. Imagine them having a good killing range on these maps, would be hell with people just randomly throwing them all the time.
I'm not sure what it is about the flash effects but I find that, according to killcam, even if the nade goes off a good foot to two feet behind you you still get full blown flashed.
How does that work? Isn't the nade suppose to go off in front of you to get flashed? If you can't see it how can you get white screened?
Yeah, I've had this happen a lot. If you're angled even SLIGHTLY towards the blast, even if, to your eyes, you're turned away and/or a good distance, you'll get the full brunt of the blinding and deafening.
It feels like you have to be a total 180 degrees turned away or 50 feet away from it to avoid it quite a lot. x_x
I agree with ghamorra. It's not the stuns, grenades, etc., it's the maps. There's a spot on hardhat, where I'm guranteed to get at least one kill from my grenade, and I'll likely recon the whole enemy team, even if I did only start with one flash.
I can see your point. This map size situation makes it even worse.
