Guns that dont live up to thier hype.....

The number 1 gun for me that everyone says is overpowered, easy to use, etc, is the MP7. Dont get me wrong I like it, but I dont care for the sights on it. The recoil is very low with kick and/or silencer, but I also think it has more recoil than people say it has. I use rapid fire and silencer or rapid fire with extended mags.
Because I dont like the sights on the MP7, I use it mostly for close quarters and hip fire with it. So in my opinion, the faster rate of fire with the MP-9 or the PP90 is the way to go. And tho the MP7 has a faster fire rate than the UMP, the faster rate of fire isnt worth giving up the damage, range and the better iron sights of the UMP.
Overall it is fun to use. It looks cool and is fun to spray with because of the extra bullets with ext mags. I would only use it in a game mode where u can respawn because in SnD your gonna get beat if you run into a PP90, PM-9, Striker, AA-12 or even akimbo FMG's (tho theyve been nerfed to oblivion). So yes fun gun to use. Is it overpowered I definately think not.
Im curious to know what "overpowered" or "noob guns" everyone else thinks doesnt live up to thier hype.
T95......have to be able to aim...most don't.....including me!
I don't understand why people use this as an arguement to say that the t95 isn't imbalanced. You have to be able to aim with all guns. WHY DO YOU THINK ONLY THE T95 REQUIRES AIMING?
The PP90 actually has better hip fire, so I'd recommend using that instead. Personally, I think the iron sights are deliciously easy to use, but everybody looks for something different in their favorite sights.
I only use akimbo FMG's on my sniper class, I still beast with them. You say they're nerfed down? Why does everyone blame everything besides their lack of skill when they get beasted? The other guy got the drop on you, deal with it.
I completely agree with your comment. I dont, and will never understand why they made a game, and set up guns obviously to be better than others, and yet they continually knock em down a notch, or improve something that shouldnt be improved. That right there tells me that they know they put out a bad product when you have to go changing the powers of your guns. I thought they had people play test the game b4 it ever hit the stores.
I was playing Liberation yesterday, and there was a guy with shotgun and range on and he was impossible to kill unless you saw him from behind. I was standing on the crates with my sniper rifle that are at the non park side of the map. where to the right you could go down into the tunnel or to the left. The little Picnic lodge looking thing. There is a tower inbetween where I was which I would say on the game was a good 40-50 ft from me, and I got one shotted with his shotgun. JOKE. I dont care if he was using range or not it was a fing joke.
I don't get all up in arms about guns being "OP" but I do think that the Type 95 and MK14 are the two best guns for sure. I know they're my go to weapons.
What gun do I think is perceived as much more overpowered than it is? The Type 95. Is it a good gun? No it's a GREAT gun! However alot of people seem to think it's a magic wand that let's you effortlessly destroy opponents at any range on the map while taking no skill at all to master. It's true that for the most part if you can see them you can kill them, but at medium and especially long range, it takes several bursts to get the job done. One major (and obvious) difference between this gun and the fully auto AR's is that if you're spraying your SCAR, ACR, or G36 and you're aim is off just a bit, you can adjust while still shooting. With the Type 95 one of its biggest advantages can also be a disadvantage, it's ROF coupled with the 3 round bust. From my experience, all 3 rounds hit or all 3 miss. Good aim is not optional to be effective with this weapon. You HAVE to take that extra split-second to make sure your aim is good!
Solid point. In the hands of a noob I'll face a Type 95 all day long and win 95 percent of the time. It needs a good marksman to unleash it's truly deadly potential. If I'm getting put down regularly in a match by the Type, then I assume my opponent is fairly decent.
Everyone says the PP90M1 are the weapon of choice for Spray & Payers but if they just take a couple of letters out and use the P90 it is the one I consider to be better than the PP90M1 for spraying.
Use mp7 with silencer, use range, nullifies the range taken off by the silencer. Don't like sights? ummm ok, to each his own I guess. Recoil>? It's pretty much like the m4.
In Short.
HELL OF A GUN!
Range does not benefit the MP7.
What do you mean? Range benefits any gun it is used on.
haha, if you remember when he was comparing the MP7 and the PP90, he used range and a silencer and showed that it DID matter. Tmartn had a little trouble with his science here. He used one spot for all the guns as a "mid-range," even though each gun has it's own specific (and linear) drop-off rate. So, though the spot he happened to be in made a great deal of change for the UMP, it doesn't mean that the MP7 does not truly benefit from range.
The P90 is really good because its clip size, but I just like the PP90M1 better because of it's higher ROF. I just feel like it kills faster, though the P90 is always a good choice for hip fire as well.
The Type-95, it didn't need to be nerfed. It's a gun that specializes in long range combat. The reason people hated it was because it killed them at a range their SMGs/Shotguns couldn't reach. Deal with it, you got outplayed by someone who knew what their strengths and weaknesses were and they used them against you.
Now I hear things about the Mk14 being OP, which is total BS, it's not OP. It's incredibly difficult to use but once mastered it's very effective. I've mastered it and now I'm rewarded by having an effective gun that can kill at long range where you can't reach me or even see me. Not my problem you choose to run around with an SMG or shotgun
I love the MK14 and I think people need to understand that it does take skill to use, especially because when you fire too fast half of the bullets don't register as hits...
Lag + Mk14 = Imminent death
I can't tell you how many times I go into a fight getting 5-6 hitmarkers only to get sprayed down like a I'm just standing there bending over
It's so hard to use in those situations. Also the ammo loadout is so limited. The most kills I can get without Scanvenger is 8 or 9. By that time I'm looking for another weapon to use
Sorry bud, but it needed a nerf and it still does. They didn't "outplay" anything.
Im gonna go head and say that I dont see all the hype with akimbo machine pistols ethier. Easy and fun to use, yes, overpowered no, definately not anymore anyway. It could be all in my head but they just dont seem as bad good as they once were. Ethier way pretty much any SMG with rapid fire can out gun them in close quarters.
In my opinion the MP7 has some of the best sights in the game...they're very unobstructive and clean, but I could see how someone could not like how it's sort of a dot..I guess it's more like a pistol sight.
Did you mean MP9 or PM-9? MP9 is a machine pistol sidearm, and has the same fire rate as the MP7, with a 33 damage (4 bullet) kill instead of 35 (3 bullet kill). Also it has a hell of a lot more recoil. PM-9 on the other hand does boast a much higher fire rate but has a hell of a lot more recoil...
I definitely agree that you should be beat running into PP90 P90 PM9 or fmg akimbo. The reason so many people use the MP7 is because it's exceptional at range with its low recoil, and still obviously has an edge on AR's close quarters as an SMG. If you're using something like the PM9 you really have to manage your engagements to be close quarters.
Sorry about that I meant the PM-9 and your exactly right is recoil is insane. I would compare it to the CM901's recoil maybe worse cause the sights obstruct your view.
When it comes to sights, i prefer the UMP for example, or the CM901. I like the ones where you fit the target in between two notches or within a circle.
An example of something I have a harder time aiming with would be a red dot sight or MP7 where I have the put a line or dot over the object I am aiming at.
My initial thought when I read the title was a gun like the FAD...a gun that is unlocked at the end of the cycle and that usually means an above-average gun...but I rarely see it out there. It's a different way to approach your topic, but is it overhyped in that it is unlocked late?
A lot of people swear by this gun. There is a lot of hype around it, and if the OP does have problems with the iron sights and losing to other SMG's in CQC, then I can see where he's coming from.
Guns are the least of our worries if this continues to happen and grow!!!
