I feel your pain. I just recently ended my quest to get 2500 kills with the M16 and will never ever touch it again. It's hilariously bad and the sad part is that of all the Assault Rifles, I have the highest K/D with it. I'll glady never use or pick one up for the rest of playing MW3.

I'm good with it using kick and iron sights. Not using iron sights and kick will make it a lot harder for you. Plus, there's the lag compensation.

Yeah, the M16A4 suffers mostly due to the usual culprit, lag.

On good games with little to no lag, I can easily kill people with a single burst each at any distance where, at range at least, it would take 2-3 with the Type 95. As a result, I end up with a good score. My top score with the M16A4 being 31 / 4 / 5, IIRC.

However, on the majority of games I have that lag badly, the M16A4 suffers greatly and it'd take 3+ bursts, even at range, to kill people.

I'm sure there would be a VERY noticeable difference in how effective various weapons can be if lag and lag compensation were fixed.
