Hardhat CTF Spawns Need A Fix

And this is why spawn trapping is bad. But yaa that does need to be fixed.
It must be a shame to have that be the only way they can have a good game.
These spawns are a bloody disgrace!
What is beyond me is how IW will not acknowledge and address this issue. The code logic is drop dead simple and dealt with in coding 101.
Would it be nice if 402 stopped tweeting about the BaFTAs and kicking back at the hotel with his partner which quite frankly matter DUCK SH*T to the Community and commented just once on the forums on this type of nonsense. If he did , maybe....just maybe.......we would all have some faith........not gonna hold my breath!

Spawn Trapping is how people win games. It's been around since atleast Halo 2's MLG days. I will Agree that the spawns in this game are terrible but Spawn Trapping is what seperates bad players from the better players. I HQ camp and I Domination Camp/ST. But I also play in parties of 6 most of the time and that also helps people win.
To compare how easy it is to win a game.
Spawn Trapping with 6 player parties w/ avg 2.0K/D
>Spawn Trapping with 6 player parties w/ avg 1.0K/D
> 6 player parties w/ avg 2.0K/D
> 2-6 player parties w/ avg 1.0K/D
> Playing solo.
It may not be fun getting spawn trapped, but it just means that the other players are better than you.
Personally I would rather IW get rid of the deathstreaks. Stupid FS/DMH. I hate it when Developers try to help the garbo players.

The act of murder has been around since life on earth existed, it still doesn't make it right. I know it's a drastic comparison but it's the same concept. Just because something has been around for years does not make it right.
These people and you and your parties can easily cap three flags and win but you choose to rack up kills instead so don't give me that it wins games crap.
I've never seen a spawn trap against good players. Why? because spawntrapping parties back out when they run into other parties knowing that a spawn trap won't happen. How good are you really if all you do is trap randoms all day?
My W/L is 5.0+ and I have friends in the 20.0s and 30.0s. Only HC Domination. So why would they want to flip the spawns that may cause them to loose? They are keeping the spawns from flipping so it is easier to win. Thus called a SPAWN TRAP. We normally win by 50+ points against other teams of six if they stay in the whole game(which THEY don't). Why would we risk a sure win and cap 3 flags? Spawns flip...you capture 1 or even 2 and then we recapture everything again. Why would we risk that?
PS: I never said anything about racking up kills.
BUT you still said that things like this video shows the difference in players skill. You telling me the guys in the video is truly better then other players who don't even have a fair chance to kill them.
It is a different type of skill but it still takes skill to spawn trap. MW3's spawn trapping isn't as bad as BO's. MW3's ~150 kills/game compared to BO's 300+ kills/game.
Personally I think spawn trapping is a way to play the game just like camping, rushing, running and gunning, etc. It is not easy to spawn trap. IT MAY LOOK SO but it isn't. It takes a lot of practice and communication to achieve. If you don't practice or communicate you will not succeed.
PS: There is nothing keeping you from quiting.

Skill is a word that really that has lost its meaning over the years.
Would you say a person that has a 49% W/L is good or a person with a 85%?
Or do you base "skill" on K/D like everyone else?
Would you say a person that has a 1.09K/D is good or a person with a 3.23K/D?
Until they put a arena rating or Trueskill system, based on winning, in the game I think that skill shouldn't be mentioned because people think that Panic Knifing(with RJS) takes skill but Dropshotting doesn't, and much much more.
I have no idea what you are trying to get at but watch the damn video already and tell me what is okay with spawn killing like that. there is no SKILL what so ever. There is no basing skill off stats and stats can be padded by dashboarding and boosting.

I think the people that do stuff in the video above are garbage players and obviously you think they are better and none of us can figure out why. Controlling the map in Dom takes skill but what is happening in this video id not Dom. It is straight up garbage players spawn killing. Watch it and tell me where the skill is in it.
They are obviously better than the people they are playing against, if they can manage a spawn trap. It is all IW/SH's fault for letting this happen. It is in the game until it is patched.
I am not saying is fair for anyone on the other team.

What you're doing isn't like what's going on in ctf and sabo. You're talking about map control, a spawn trap works on static spawn points and does not allow the players to break out usually resulting in instant death after spawning.

No one has mentioned Domination. Spawn "trapping" in Dom is an entirely different thing than what is being discussed in this thread which is ctf/sabo spawn trapping on static spawn points that don't flip no matter how much you push.
Where is the skill in aiming at one point and never stopping shooting. I really don't understand why you are trying to defend this.
Watch the video. Watching somebody spawn and then killing them is the 'SPAWN TRAPPING' being discussed.
Hope you get killed by dead mans hand 1 kill before you get a moab and see how that feels when you sit behind someones spawn.

wow this thread is pretty funny, people boasting about K/D and W/L and how skilled they are and how they always play on a team of 6 where of course they are going to have an advantage....yeah no one cares iivrruummii. No one. This is a CTF thread, and for a game mode that has been completely de-emphasized along with HQ in MW3, it certainly doesnt need any more issues. I was never a fan of CTF, but this needs to be fixed soon.
You know, I wouldn't mind if this was an isolated incident. But it's not, I just ran into the guys in this video last night on hardhat of all maps.
Regular CTF parties do what they call "hardhat shuffles" where they don't stay in a lobby until they get Hardhat then all six vote for Hardhat.

I would have called that spawn killing, looking at spawn points whilst waiting for them to spawn so you can immediately kill them. That is the cheapest way to play, it takes absolutely NO SKILL to kill people the moment that they spawn. That point would unquestionably only be argued by an idiot. That tactic does include 'spwan trapping' but my friends and I would not consider them the same thing. It can be annoying getting spawn trapped and I can see why it bothers some people who are unable to escape but providing its not a 'spawn trapped spawn killing zone' I think that its just unfortunate and that you need to improve your assault skills.
The point that i am trying to make is spawn killing and spawn trapping are not the same. Spawn killing is wrong but controlling the map and spawns is a legitimate tactic.
Why have we never received an official statement about this crap from someone?
