No but I think they disappear after a certain amount of time or if the same player calls in another airdrop trap.

Blast Shield (Pro), Riot Shield, or getting killed near it (as if you watch the Killcam, you'll be seeing it from the opponent's point of view, and it will clearly reveal if it's a trap or not based on the color and markings).

But no, they can't be destroyed. Unless one of those 3 are being implemented, then you'll just have to let it sit there and wait for it to disappear after a while.

If you go prone and get to the very edge of where it says "secure care package" or what ever, then start capturing it, if it beeps (as long as you are at the edge) get up and run, you have enough time and distance from the very edge to not die. I do it all the time so my stupid effing team mates won't capture them haha.

You'd think having Stalker would give you an extra second to get away after the beep before going off, right?

That's how I fool some people into going for Airdrop Traps given I rarely see people fall for them anymore. Though, partially, it's because people are not using them intelligently like purposely hurling the smoke marker into enemy territory all the way from their side of the map or popping it, then leaving it right away.

I would go towards the enemy territory, but not TOO much too look suspicious, pop it in an open area nearby, then stay near it (not right next to it though) prone or something and kill anyone nearby to make them think it's legit, then stay and keep shooting at people until I either die or choose to run away since it would clearly look like me trying to go it would get me killed. A few seconds later, *BEEP!!!!! BOOM!!!!!!*, let the lols begin.

Doesn't always work, of course, but it's still fun.

see people talk about guns being unfair oh the acr is bull or the mp7 is bull .. but they are cool with a setting that lets you see equipment as glowing red???? and or a perk that lets you run past a betty or claymore or ims and it doesnt go off... but i dont see too much bitching about that .. but let someone havea acr with a silencer let the water works begin .. lol

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Leave them alone and let the noobs get blasted.

You can open a trap package with vests on and live through it, even in hardcore.

    Two things to try:

    1) When you die right after calling in a trap, say, "Damn! My carepackage!"

    2) After planing a bomb, throw the trap package on top of the bomb so someone has to open it to defuse.

Easy...Don't try to steal care packages unless you have sitrep pro.

I see an enemy care package and I don't even think twice and continue playing around it like nothing is there.

I cringe at players that see those Osprey Gunner packages that NO ONE on the other team is going for and decide to go for it.

I've been fooled maybe 2 times or so early in the games release. Felt like a complete dumbass. So never again

    Re: antidote to airdrop traps?

Although I don't run carepackage very often, when I do it makes me appreciate the traps. There's been a few times I've gotten killed trying to get something friggin awesome, only to be shocked to see it was still just sitting there after my respawn. The enemy saw "Reaper" or whatever and thought "Oh no you don't". So in that respect I kinda like the airdrop trap thingy.

    Re: antidote to airdrop traps?

I really love the fact that they have the airdrop traps in this game. It's lets me be able to run the carepackage without fear of the enemy getting it if I get shot while waiting. That at least gives me another shot at it before they realize it's a real one and they won't get blown up.
