Currently Being ModeratedRe: Petition to buff AA-12: More reserve ammo
I'm dead serious RS, I should go and try finding GHANDI's quote before it gets lost in the 100's of pages of discussion in that thread. It made my jaw hit the floor.
Wait a second, I just re-read your post... Are you calling me stupid or IW's "weapon balance" team stupid?

@Vileself, you have to remember this one thing, the AA-12 was a steam roller in the right hands with extended mags and the either the last two profficiencies, but since that patch on the 24th, the AA-12 took some getting used to, because performance wise, it took a dramatic dive for the worse, it wasn't as powerful. That is something I've come to accept. I guess one way to look at it is, if I played my clone from mid-December/January, and we were both given "post patch" AA-12's, I would surely beat him.
You know that saying, "everything happens for a reason"? Well, its as if the AA-12 was indirectly nerfed so that I could get better with it, and in turn make myself better. No one can argue the point that the AA-12's prowess was immensly reduced since that patch. I was almost ready to give up on it, but instead I hung in there and vowed to become exceptional with it. If you look at how the petition, and not just "for me" but on behalf of everyone using the AA-12 has gone from a "rage buff" to a very reasonable and fair buff: more ammo, that's it and there ain't nothing wrong with that. More reserve ammo won't make the AA-12 "OP" or "easier to use" like some believe, it just gives it longevity for the average player. As a matter of fact, no gun should require a perk to get more than a few kills.
Anywhore, thats what I think IW should do, just give the AA-12 some more ammo, especially since IW themselves think its fine as is. It shouldn't be a weapon you just pick up and start owning with like most other guns with out any prior experience. I believe it SHOULD sort of suck, so you have to devote time and effort in to becoming a powerhouse with it.
Also, I don't have 50 moabs with the AA-12, I wish I did though
. Everyone has bad games, and we don't win them all, but I wasn't bragging, at least I wasn't trying to. I think "capinyou" is bragging in his thread, and I hope I wasn't doing that. Sorry if thats how my threads come off to you. I just remembered this: If "I" do good with a weapon, the AA-12 in this case, that doesn't automatically mean its overpowered or balanced. In fact it's quite the contrary, if I was one of the worst, and I had the stats I do with this gun, it might actually be becuase its cheap or overpowered, but the AA-12 is seriously anything but. I just realized I'm going to have to edit my original post... again... I'm not even mad, I'm impressed.

Ok cool. Hey whats this I hear about the "Actual" IW staff being replaced or fired over the years and supposedly thats why MW3 sucks? Is that true? I don't know how to do their job but you know they don't seem to be the sharpest tools in the box.

I have no idea what has been happening behind the scenes at IW, if anyone else knows I would be pleased if you could fill us in. All I know is that Activision screwed IW over a lot.

I don't know the excact story but I know it a little.
When MW2 was about halfway trough it's lifecycle a few people at infinity ward got fired and even more people left after. So only half of infinity ward was left. And all those people who left IW are now over at Respawn Entertainment, an indie developer, making a new game and I'm pretty sure it's an FPS
here look at this http://www.respawn.com/company/scroll to Jason West it says: To do:

Lead best team in the world in the creation of new gameplay experiences (with dedis ;)). If you look at everyone's past projects it mostly says cod4 mw2 and some even earlier cod's. The "real" Infinity Ward never made MW3, only like half of it with the help of Sledgehammer.....
That's why MW3 isn't amazing I think.
I'm super excited for Respawn's game coming out next year, I mean FPS shooter made by the original IW with dedicated servers

Thanks a lot WaterMelon, that was very informative. Well that explains some of the "copy and pasted" feel of this game, and I remember hearing someone say "its a $60 map pack for MW2" lol
I'm no game developer or programmer, but some of the aspects of this game don't require college degrees to acknowledge and fix accordingly.

No probs, someone said, he thought that would be possible, that West and Zampella set MW2 up, they added noobtubes one man army secondary shottys, and then they left. Funny idea here's the vid where he says that, it's pretty funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wo9kE4FtNQ
oo and look at this thread as well, this guy has a great idea to buff all shottys http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200407720?start=0&tstart=0

@WaterMelon, I like his ideas, but I also think Weaponbalance had a great solution, and that was to add a "third" damage factor in between "max and minimum". I'm not sure if thats do-able, but at least on paper, it sounds awesome and could very well help eliminate shotgun inconsistencies in cqc range.
