    Its nothing about old or new ps3. It happend to me 3 times now. 2 times on Black ops and now one time on mw3. I had no problems with other games b4 i put in the Cod cd's. It burn the blue-ray off. Thats a fact. I bought uc3 the other day and now when i put it in its just loading to the end of time. My Grand turismo5 dont work neither after playing Mw3... Ive had enough soon. Service Mantenacne on March 1st, if the issues isnt fixet im done with IW. They have plenty of time to make new prestige, new maps so on but cant even look at theses problems ? i was watchin a guy other day talkin about these things, he said he had called IW and they told him they havnt heard about the error.... Wtf ?

    Ditch the PS3 and buy an XBox...no issues, no lockups, no disk read errors..just runnin' and gunnin'

    I've been playing MW3 almost everyday since it came out.  Starting two days ago my system began freezing about 5 minutes into a MP game.  I deleted saved game data and that seemed to help, but now I am getting a "disc read error" after a few completed games.  Sounds like many people are having similar problems, so I wanted to add my name to the list.  Hopefully activision fixes this soon.

    I've been having the same issue , code 800105014 . Sometimes it works other times it doesn't , I cleaned the laser and that worked temporarily . Took 2 hours to get online last night . The funny thing is I started using theatre mode to catch boosters and though I never realized until I read this thread , I never had this issue when theatre mode was switched off ! Thanks guys , I shall check and update you all if this works . Also I'm on a new ps3 , is this happening on the old one too ?

    Deleting Call of Duty Elite fixed it  for me.... worked for like 5 games but then it froze again.. try this.

    But you just said before it only helps for 5 games...So why should i delete it than..?So when i do that i will not be able to play and use it....another 50 euro lost...;( Do you still have problems now...? Grtz

    SOB!!!! Last night it completely froze up! I bought a new disc almost 2 months ago and everything had cleared up and I figured there must have been some scratch that I couldn't see or something on the old disc, but it happened again last night. I got insurance this time on the game so if it starts to effup big time I can just take it back and get another one. Waiting for it to happen again.......
