Yeah, me too. I'd like for all the stupid buildings and cars and all the other clutter to be removed from the map.

Do you think they would also consider having player motion be full-time? I'd like a map where it was impossible for people to camp.

Supposedly there was a "Host migration update" included in this most recent update? I don't know if this is sheer coincidence or not, but since this update, my very first host migration lasted about 4 or 5 minutes, and then after all that waiting, it said "Server Connection timed out".

Most of that waiting was waiting for it to finish "sending data", which did about 1% every few seconds.

Coincidence? Maybe. I hope to god all host migrations aren't that long now.

I wouldn't dwell on the version numbers here. Don't know what it's like on PS3 but on XBOX a TU means a step up from 1.4.xxx.xx to 1.5.xxx.xx while playlist and hotfixes change the last numer and this happens quite a lot.

Also you can think about it this way. TU9 was kind of the same for both platforms. 5 new prestiges, clanopsstuff and some other minor stuff. Since they had more time for adding this network stuff, they made it another TU instead of merging it into a finished packed.

From what I read so far, this isn't the cure we all hoped it would be. Some of the positive feedback (sometimes getting damage before death a.k.a. less insta-kills) I was able to observe some time ago. Can't say if it was TU9 or some previous hotfix or maybe just a lucky moment.

GHANDI. In order to improve feedback on actions taken on your side it would be extremely helpful if you could give us a more detailed heads up what you did in which TU or hotfix. I don't expect you handing out proprietary knowledge but we have to get some understanding what is happening to us and in which ways you are able to help. If you tell us a certain fix should help us experiencing less insta-deaths from players with a higher ping, we can keep our eyes open for these cases and tell you if it actually does. If we read something as general as network improvent we might expect a general improvement which might not happen.

So my suggestion is. Let's try to give some of the phenomenons names. Maybe the list with network engineers comments will be helpful there. Let's say incident A, B and D is caused by xxxx and incident C, E and F is caused by yyyy. Then you could say "we can con up with a solution for yyyy but will only give you a compromise for xxxx because solving this might annoy a higher percentage of players than those it would help". I bet this type of honesty will be much more appreciated than being vague and keeping expectations high just to smash them again and again.

I really hope you read this and take it into consideration for the sake of the game and for the sake of any upcoming title.

P.S. You told me you would take my suggestion of handing out damage on teammates that destroy friendly equipment in hardcore to the MP team. Did you get any feedback?

I forgot to mention something else I noticed in-game. In fact, I'm surprised I forgot to mention it.

I don't know what happened with the spawn system, but geez. My little brother hadn't played MW3 in several weeks and he noticed it before I did.

We were spawning super-far away from the main action of the game in Demo, Dom, KC, and TDM.

In fact, this is exactly what my bro said that maid me notice it as well, "WTF?! Why do we keep spawning so far away? I thought they fixed this."

By that he meant that he thought MW3 fixed the "problem" of spawning so far away from the main action of the match. He preferred spawning in or near the heat of battle.

    Just reporting what I saw.

    edit - did I just spell "made" m-a-i-d ???

Honestly, I'll give it a day or two as per their request to let the patch "populate", but if these last 20 mins are any indication, I think I'm done with MW3.

@ESMORGUE-  I think I recall  you having xbox as well as PS3.  Could you do me a favor and check to see if you can hear dead silence on Liberation on Xbox?  Thanks in advance.  Pete

    @dedisplease: willdo.

That's a good thing. Gives the player enough time to think of another strategy to approach the enemy.

I can't stand spawning in too close into the action even if our team are in control of the game.

For instance in Domination, if our team have control of A & B, I prefer spawning near A to give me time to assess my options & then get straight back into a game.

Also, spawning in too close with the enemy creates too many of these payback spawns. I still experience alot watching myself kill someone in the killcam and suddenly they spawn directly behind me.

Hi @G IH A IN ID II. I am a hardcore COD player with 2 out of 3 of my accounts being above 3.0.

My experience with this game after the 1.10 update on the PS3 has lead me to notice a few game breaking problems.

    1) Mic. If you have an Astro or a Turtle Beach headset, you will notice that you do not have a mic icon.
    2) Mic. Nobody can hear anyone. Some people say to try to turn the voice volume all the way up in the options menu as a fix for now.
    3) Lag. Almost non-existent lag compensation. The killcam now shows just how much you are lagging against the other players without an artificial lag to balance out the people with faster connection than you.
    4) Lag. I notice that when I'm lagging, there's a lag input when I press the buttons. It has a few ms delay before I start running after pressing L3 and a few ms delay to stop running after letting go. And it will not ADS quickly after pressing L1. Thus, in a gun fight, I have a higher chance of losing because it will take a longer for me to ADS than the enemy.

I live in a very low populated region for MW3 and have a hard time finding matches below 125ms. Thus the lag compensation has helped quite a lot for me and the small MW3 community in my area. I hope that these problems addressed can be fixed fast so we can go back to enjoying the game again.

That was the purpose of the recent patch.

Just curious, how many bars do you get in a match?

You'll notice that 1 bar/2 bar players don't get that advantage that was present before.

You live in a small MW3 community similar to myself (probably smaller though). I'm as well limited to what I can join in terms of game modes when you look at connectivity & if I'm in a foreign lobby, I deserve to lag & not gain any advantage from it.

It's how the internet works unfortunately. A player in a foreign lobby should not gain any advantage over players who either do have a good connection or are matchmaked in a locale lobby.

The same goes from when I try play COD4 & WAW when I enter a foreign lobby.

Just left a match (xbox new update .12) where the top player heavily fluctuated between 1 and 4 bars. Also he was cheap enough to play a fully automatic MK14. I reported him to bancandy but I'm afraid as I can't provide evidence since theater mode doesn't cover those issues. In theater he fires at a regular rate and just does some occasional moonwalk. This case is symptomatic for players who are abusing the games mechanics to their advantage and remove every competetive aspect by lagging other players out. I'm waiting on feedback of bancandy but wanted to let y'all know that this is still a large problem that might require us constant recording or better monitoring from IWs side.
