    Hi Ghandi-

        HUGE PROBLEM!!!!  So I played my first game on the new map Liberation, very nice map and seems like it "would" be fun.  So here is my problem, there is an audio glitch.  When walking through leaves with dead silence equipped, everyone can hear you.  The whole map is covered in leaves and I am pretty close to deleting the maps already.  Was it intended to completely ruin a perk, and if so why is dead silence always on the short end of the stick? First you guys give dead silence a pro perk that nullifies the silent part when you use it, now you guys create a map that completely ruins it as well.  I dont see you guys doing anything that nullifies any other perk in the game, why dead silence?  Just horrible if this is intended. Xbox guys, is this the case for you guys too? Thanks Peter

    Hi Jerry-

        This is something I have been  pushing for since release.  I wanted a music slider to completely allow us to turn off in game and lobby music.  What Ghandi/IW is doing is remixing the music so that it plays at a lower volume in the lobby and in the game.  They will not budge on a slider as of yet.  Thanks Peter

        I played a match and then went into a private match to test it out with 5 other guys.  You can almost hear a dead silence guy across the map when they walk through leaves, try it out.  Complete fail, I have almost no faith in IW now.  Thanks Pete

    Now that we are back on topic ...

     

    I forgot to mention that while I've been experiencing far fewer lag situations, the ones I do experience are usually pretty noticeable. They do not behave in a "laggy" way but more like "where did that come from?"

     

    A couple of those situations I'm not 100% sure were because of game design but I won't go there.

     

    I do know that at least twice I was 60% sure I was host due to what I've been to look for regarding being host. If indeed I was host those two times then ... being host definitely has issues.

     

    The most noticeable difference in gameplay the last two days was really odd. The controller was much more sensitive to my inputs than normal. I haven't changed the settings on my controller so ... Don't know what that was about. I don't mind the controller being more sensitive to movement, but it was something I noticed.

     

    Seems like there are a lot more snipers lately. Has something made using SRs more effective? I actually used my Barrett class on Interchange and surprised myself with the good outcome. I don't like QSing but if its possible to do it in the game upon release, that's fine. If its not possible then don't make it possible. In any case, I did some QSing in that KC match and was very pleased with the outcome.

    BIG GIANT EDIT -

     

    Regarding hearing Dead Silence users when they walk through leaves ... myself and others have been trying to explain this to people for two years now ... Dead Silence has NEVER been dead silent. If you brush up against ANYTHING you can be heard. The last time Dead Silence actually muted all footsteps, even gootsteps in snow or sand were muted. I believe there was an update regarding this issue in MW3 ... I believe Dead Silence offers only severely muted footsteps on soft surfaces. Only hard surfaces are fully muted.

     

    Walking through grass or leaves has never muted Dead Silence users. It mutes their footsteps but it does not mute the things they brush against that can move ... like grass or leaves.

    @ G IH A IN ID  II,

     

    So let me get this straight. You are saying that we got 2 patches that total the same amount as 1previous patch? (Helmet Mode Engaged)...

     

    Also when I DL 1.09 for XBox, that I will be able to upload my PS3 vids in HD? (Chin strap tightened properly)

    Honestly, I'll give it a day or two as per their request to let the patch "populate", but if these last 20 mins are any indication, I think I'm done with MW3.

    I want a map that shows everyone on the radar and negates Assassin altogether.

     

    @ESMORGUE-  I think I recall  you having xbox as well as PS3.  Could you do me a favor and check to see if you can hear dead silence on Liberation on Xbox?  Thanks in advance.  Pete
