An Idea to fix fmgs once and for all

have it so bloom(bullet spread) isn't finite but more like base spread + bulletsfire(additional spread) this would also make it so full auto at long ranges is no longer possible as well as making snipers and semi's more useful. As well as balancing out people spamming the tigger of those guns.
Interesting idea, but the use of the word bloom is too Haloish and people who played Reach hated bloom with a passion because of the rando headshots it would cause.
well bloom, firing cone, spread are all really the same term. as it defines the angle at which a weapon fires and how accurate it is. if the cone is big the weapon is inaccurate which would be a perfect solution to the FMGs as well as making going full auto at long ranges less sucessful with smgs and ARs as the cone gets bigger with each round fired in succession.
oddly enough its only a simple formula that uses part of the current one expect it doesn't limit the spread. as such steady aim could limit the spread instead of reducing it. Now I know they most likely at do a change like this currently to the game because it may not be possible, but hopefully this idea isn't a bad one with horrible flaws.
So Trial can you think of any parts of this idea not being good and a possible solution to it?
Most players hate the idea of random bullet travel in this game or any game, and anything that would give the chance of a possible random head shot by somone spraying the gun would be hated by them, even the akimbos do that pretty much now. You can aim at center of mass and still get a head shot with them.
People hated the bloom in Reach so much that the forums were constantly fileld with rants and threats and crybabies that did not like it or want it in the game.
Hmm, While I see your Point kinda (seeing how bloom in reach didn't give players who timed their shots any advantage over those who spammed.). Now While it would produce a higher angle in which bullete can travel one could simply have it so bullets travel only in a specifed outer ring something like this #working out a python varient of it... No code bb tags
couldn't figure out how to write it in python but i figured out he math equation
N>=B>=Z
N being bullet spread
B being where bullet can go
Z being where bullet can't go
Now any combination of "Z= N - or / X" will produce the zone differenence which could also fix quick scoping.
A similar attempt was thoughtout and hoped would be used a patch for Reach on how bloom worked. I do not think it ever made it to the game though.
at least people are tring to find a way to help out the devs
without being offensive.
Eh, in reach the people that came up wiht that one basicly did insult the devs and anyone else that did not agree with them that it was the right fix for bloom.
my idea may not be the best and i'll accept that.
It does have it's merits as did the one for Reach. It just was how those players presented ita s the one true fix and nothing anyone said mattered to them.
Unfortunately there is no real easy fix other than just removing akimbo; but the likelyhood of that ever happening is very slim to none.

crybabies
If I had a dollar every time you reused this insult, I could buy out Activision.
Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they're "crying". Have you ever once considered that maybe people just have different opinions than yours?
Good luck functioning in the real world. Do you hear someone say something that upsets you and just yell and scream "CRYBABY! CRYBABY!" at them until they leave you alone?
Actually no I do not, when that happens I calmly punch them in the face and tell them to stop being a whinning crybaby and a ignorant fool for not knowing I am god and my words are rule. ![]()

So because the term comes from Halo it's automatically a bad idea.
Good job.

Frankly, I was expecting a response more along the lines of "not gonna happen" or "not happening"
Not ever going to happen, just wouldnt be prudent to let it be in this game ever. ![]()
Ya didn't read did you. I said was an interesting idea, just the nomenclature being used was a bad choice of words because of how people felt about it in Halo.
Not completely understanding of what "bloom" means. I'm guessing you're talkling about accuracy. All the full autos in this game have insane accuracy, more specifically too little recoil.
With the firing rate of the FMGs I would expect someone to have lost control a fraction of a second after they pull the trigger, especially when they're running around and have little to no poise
thats whats what you would think but some how its better to hold a gun with one hand with your arms fully extended.
To be honest the FMGs have more recoil when being held with two hands. Compare them sometime, it doesn't make any sense.
i just tested it on PC and their recoil is the same with and without akimbo as it pulls up and to the right.
I'd rather just have the hip fire massive to begin with.
Yea me too
With Steady Aim the spray pattern is incredibly focused. I don't even think it spreads to the extremities of the crosshairs. It stays predominantly in the middle
No akimbo weapon should gain the benifits of Steady Aim
They wont move them to primaries, so something else has will have to be thought of.
Nothing is going to be done. Last I checked, a secondary is known as a backup, or inferior. FMG9 acts like a nuke launcher.
