Beachhead Please Read - Merge Elite Operations

Beachhead why has the community been segregated from the onset within Elite?
I am a hardcore gamer and only play hardcore variants just as there are core gamers that only play core variants. Both are valid game styles and both camps defend there styles. There is nothing wrong with this and I don't think this needs to change.
The two gamer styles are separated within the game because of the differing conditions for each game type. But only for these reasons.
Now Elite has segregated both camps even though the lone wolf and now clan operations have the same end goal.
I propose that the operations that are in both mode be merged and leave it the the player to decide if they want to play core or hardcore. This in the end this will make less work for the programmers and everyone will win because there will be more events for everyone to join.
I expect a bunch of core flamers to reply to this saying any number of reasons this should not happen but I will ask them this. Are hardcore gamers better than core gamers? If your answer is no way! why wouldn't you want hardcore to be part of the total?
The same goes for hardcore gamers.. are core gamers better? If your answer is no way! why wouldn't you want core to be part of the total?
In each case having inferior participants in the operations only helps you or your clan.
This solution in the end will cost Beachhead less to maintain and give the hardcore community a chance of feeling included in the Elite experience.
There is a lot of antagonistic posts in regard to that lack of hardcore support. This post is not one of them and is an attempt to find a solution so Elite grows instead of the overwhelming "I am not renewing my Elite subscription because of this!" I hear fron the hardcore community
Any positive and helpful solutions to the present inequality are welcome or voice your support for what I have posted above would be appreciated.

While I support this and have asked the question before...
... I doubt this can be done very easily based on the framework for this they have designed.
It'll always be separated.

I could have sworn they were combined during the BETA last summer on Black Ops. Am I wrong?

Can anyone confirm they were merged in the Beta? If they did that means some of the code is there already.
No they were not. i asked over and over and never got a answer why
The thing about the beta they had just about as many hc as core.

I don't recall them being combined.
Anyone from Beachhead care to reply?
this is a damn good idea.
I dont understand the merge part, but equall amount of games should be easy
monday - core
tuesday - Hardcore
wednesday - core
ect you get the idea
using the excuse that more plp play core is rubbish when it comes to this.
i bet if you gave an ipad away on monday and tuesday you'd prob get the same amount of plp enlist
I cannot agree to this as there are more core players on TDM vs. the HX.
We're customers just like everyone else.
I think it's garbage I had/have to make it to level 19 in every game just to play Hardcore. Like it's my lollipop for being a good little patient.
Treat consumers to what THEY want, not what you THINK they want.
You think Metallica sold 20 million copies of the black album because they were shooting for a more "core" audience? Remember what happened when the "hardcore" fans of them did? They burned every album, cassette, and CD that they had out of protest because they thought they got ****** too!
Well, we HX gamers feel that way too.
Stop with the core gamer cocksucking antics and respect what your consumers want too!

So we have one Hardcore player that believes Core players are better at objectives then he is.
I personally feel both are on equal footing. The quantity of players in each mode make no difference. It is the skill of the individual or clan that counts in either case. So merging the two modes is a win win.
I don't think it's an issue of which has better players
I think the problem would be, for instance
In hc Dom(all I play) I can clear a area nr a base with smaw of 2 or 3 players then capture the base
But in core the smaw/frag whatever would only graze them and then you wouldn't get near it
Mw2 defo catered better for hardcore gamers but even that didn't get all modes on all maps until later in its life
I'm annoyed because I bought elite for dlc and clans but I can't even play the dlc maps or elite ops in the game mode I (and my clan) play,
So now we have to play the core (beginner) mode that takes multiple hits to kill with maps I can only compare it to bumper lanes in a bowling alley
Core is for the mass market who bring in the big buck(hence catered for more)
Hardcore is for the people who want the challenge of competing in a game where one shot is all it takes to kill or be killed
If you want to ***** please feel free
Oh yes I think there should be permanent clan leader boards by game modes too
With that attitude and the way you posted I am sure they are going to listen and give you want you want right away.... NOT.
As a Hardcore Gamer i feel like i'm being ******. Lack of game modes are already an issuse for hardcore. I deal with it though because apparently more people play core then hardcore. Whatever man, i could care less i'm not one of those people. If the situation was vice versa i wouldn't do the same to core gamers. It feels like when I bought this game it was a downgrade in hardcore playlist from mw2. Now, i'm forced to level my clan by playing core matches which I never play. I'm ranked like 2 million plus in core donmination. Beach head pretty much tells us to ******* deal with it because if its anything like lone ops there will never be any hardcore operations. Its Crazy that no one has properly addressed this which a easy solution of alternating Core and hardcore. They Could even just do Two Matches of each. Both being played at the same time or something. I have a spilt clan with some members who play core. So i don't want to shun them ,but we must come to some kind of a mutal agreement.
Note, I don't hate core gamers and I have nothing witty to say about it. I just don't play it. I haven't attempted to play core since cod4 which only lasted til i was able to play hardcore.
That's the problem though isn't it
It shouldnt matter which has more players
how much hard work would it be (and it's probably already been done in advance) to flick the switch to make all game modes playable on all maps
As for the ops
There has already been hardcore TDM lone wolf ops
But they can't have hc Dom
How much effort is really involved in making this happn I wonder?
And they have stated that hc will be incorporated eventually
But why prolong it?
All I can think of is it's servers wouldn't be able to handle the increase in enlistments if they start offering hc ops aswell what with it all being so new
I mean these clan ops this weekend
Jeez everyone is going to be enlisting for one good reason
Whether you play core or not currently it is the only way to earn clan xp(convincing founders to join your clan isn't earning xp, you haven't done anything special)
So it's gonna get rammed
Which in turn makes it look like there is a huge demand for more core ops because all the hardcore gamers are trying to level up playing in core games they wouldn't usually go near
I agree with you 100%. I have a obligation to my Clan to Level it. Everyday i'm spammed with when is clan ops. Now its here and my members want to contribute. Sadly, its Core and now we have no choice but to compete or miss out on this opportunity to Level.
Again... Beachhead is there a remote possibility that you will merge the events Core & Hardcore to end this debate?
bump
Hardcore and Core are two distinct game modes. If we merged Hardcore and Core Ops, we'd be stating they are the same thing which simply isn't the case. We'd also be assuming that the statistical majority of the COD player base that's comprised of Core players would be agreeable to this change.
Additional Hardcore Operations will be introduced over time. Until then, we'd like to hear your thoughts on which Hardcore modes you'd like added to both Lone Wolf and Clan Operations so we're not making any assumptions as to what the Hardcore player base wants.

I agree with your statement but when it comes to the goal of both they are the same. Are you stating it is easier for one game mode to do better than another? If so I would like to hear from you, Beachhead, what makes one mode better at achieving the goal of any particular event than the other mode?

I would be fine with this yet the rewards are unequal. I paid the same as core payers for this service. The rewards don't need to be equal but a Jeep vs a memory stick? I am not saying I could win one but someone in the HC community should have a shot at prizes better than promotional gear.

Beachhead
My vote for myself and my 38 clan mates are HARDCORE KILL CONFIRMED for both.
Hardcore domination should be on there as standard lol
But hc kill confirmed might be cool I spose
But hc Dom and like yesterday
I paid just as much and just because I don't want a map in the corner or HUD or be able to take 11 shots before going down I have to drag my attention across 3hrs of what I can only describe as bowling with bumper lanes.
I have never in hc had to reload midstream whilst trying to kill someone lol
In fact core is the only game I've ran out of bullets after 3 kills lol
A few Ops we would like to see are:
HC Kill Confirmed
HC Domination
HC HQ
HC Demolition
HC S&D
HC TDM
We are a group of very few that are not fussy of what we play, but like all of the other Hardcore players we would like to choose our own gametype; instead of having to resort to playing all old maps or having to deal with moshpit. Also we would like to see the old maps back in rotation with the new ones.
Agree completely
I had a good game of hc Dom today and got 6k+ match xp with 62 kills and 42 deaths(I have a suicide thing going on involving the smaw)
There's is no way I could of got that on core and my result shouldn't then be compared to a core result in a contest just doesn't work
They can't be merged/combined. They are totally separate gametypes. It would be like having Domination and Capture the Flag combined. No way to combine the leaderboards.
More HC Operations would be good though. What percentage of Team Death Match or Domination players are Core vs Hardcore? The Operations should at least represent the same percentage.
Here's one good reason they shouldn't be merged. Let's say the Op is most kills in TDM. One shot kills in HC easily can lead to more kills. Especially when killstreaks get involved. That wouldn't be fair to the core players who suck at HC.
Just put this post at the top
Guys got it in a nutshell
I tried explaining it in Dom captures but tdm proves it perfectly
Top marks lad
Why wouldn't that be fair? The recent winners for the clan-ops for TDM did an amazing job. Not to mention HC players have to worry about Ricochet. Which means we need to hope no "Green Guys" get caught up in our airstrikes, pred missles, (rarely) trophy systems, Sentry Guns, Grenades, line of fire, Remote Sentry, or a claymore that goes off when an enemy walks by because those will all kill you in HC. Oh and I forgot random vehicles that are grazed by your bullet and a team mate is sitting next to it or gets spawned into it. Dispite this difference, I do agree that this type of merge should not be done.
