Trophy system vs predator missile

Ok i know this might seem ok for some but WTF?! how is it possible for a tiny little bit of metal to to counter and destroy a predator missile?
This IMO needs to be fixed right? i have a little clip to show you all what i mean..

I love the Trophy System and really not sure how but I got a double kill with it the other night. I wish I would have kept that video and seen what happened.
The real Trophy system (the one designed to protect Israeli tanks from rockets and missiles) detects an incoming threat and fires a bunch of metal pellets at it, kind of like a computer-targeted shotgun.
The MW3 version just seems to do a weak explosion of its own covering the entire surrounding area, not only destroying the incoming explosive, but also damaging nearby enemies. If an enemy is wounded, a Trophy can kill them.
It shoots the projectile to detonate it mid-air instead of when it hits the ground. It protects against grenades, secondary grenades, RPGs and (I believe airstrikes and such), but only for 2 uses per life. Its not a glitch or anything.
Well i think its stupid that it can counter a pred... its a fu*king rocket FFS!

It's called modern warfare. Hence, modern technology.
A predator is only a 5 kill streak and without a trophy is an easy double to launch to attack heli.
It's not a glitch and should stay how it is. Watch te YouTube video on the real life trophy system. It's used on tanks and it's badass.
Speaking of double kills, I got a game winning kill with a trophy last night. I would uploa it and show you but my elite is broken. I was lying prone with my deagle and you hear pop. Going back tO theater offered little explanation.
Full list is nades, betties, c4, rocket propelled grenades, noob tubes, grenade launches, the 40 and 105 mm shells of the ac 130, air to ground missiles including pred, and it has some effect on stealth bomber.

All i'm saying is that is pathetic for a throphy system to destroy a pred..
You saying "fixed" implied that there was an error in coding.
When you consider that the IMS is 90% avoidable by having sitrep on and a sentry gun is 100% avoidable with blind eye, it would be completely unbalanced for the pred to have no counter. You're just lucky hardly anyone uses them.

Yep sure does, he tossed a piece of equipment out, the TS is made to destroy equipment. and the shells it uses to do so can kill you if your allready hurt. So fair death in my eyes. He should not have droped it so close to the TS.
True they can stop a predator but you can still die when it does as I have. I love the Trophy system as it is don't think it should be changed. The predetor is overused imo kinda like the rcxd in BO. I am glad there is a way to counter it to some degree.
If you're having troubles with peopel using trophies, I'd just suggest not aiming directly at the people. If someone has a trophy, they're most likely to lay right underneath it when a pred missle is coming. Aim a bit to the side, and you'll be out of the trophy's range.
Exactly, or you can toss a nade far enough away that it rolls in and kills them. The TS only really destroys stuff that is still in the air, once on the ground it does not.
Which is insanely entertaining when you stick someone and the trophy destroys the symtex before it detonates!
yeah, done that. handy device to save you from those pesky sticky nades that jump at you like that.
I believe it has to do with the hight of the nade when being used. anything dome hight or above gets slapped in to the next world. anything below it somtimes does not.

lol if anything there should be more things to counter a predator. remember back in MW2 when there was that pred sound when a pred was coming in? there is pretty much no sound at all in this game.
Its the only thing in the game that can counter the thing. Its perfectly fair, most of the time you won't be able to deploy the trophy system in time unless you have quickdraw pro.

But a downside is if a missile frag or whatever hits and your teammates are out of its area and I mean a metre then it deflects and you get killed for friendly fire
But if enemies are too close then they get killed aswell so tit for tat
Some people say it can defend against stealth if your under it right but after 1500+ games of hc Dom it's never happened to me
I don't use quickdraw and I get 90% of preds.
I guess I'm good about peripherally watching the map and seeing the red circles. The only times people get me is when they boost like the second they open the window.
It will stop the main shell of the AC-130 too. It can stop bouncing betties, it will protect from two i.m.s charges, it will stop two reaper missles. I wonder if it can stop at least two of the shells from a stealth bomber..
imagine if it could. Teams would run TS all the time and just drop them all down at once in one spot when a SB came in over head. Same could be done with a reaper.
Doesn't the ac-130 have a non-explosive round? You're definitely right about IMS though, forgot to mention that.
I think the stealth bomber drops A LOT of bombs. I've been trying to counter a stealth bomber with a trophy since I've been playing drop zone. Not a lot of luck though.
IMO it should be more effective since every killstreak should have a counter. I guess if you hear it coming running to cover is a viable option though.
The 20mm minigun should be able to blast past it as the rounds don't explode. Though, from my experience, people using the AC-130 rarely use it because it isn't some widespread, less-aiming weapon (ala shotguns, Akimbos, etc) like how the 105mm howitzer and the 40mm cannon just need to be fired near enough to an enemy and they'll usually kill them, but the minigun zooms you in close (like how CoD4 had it) and requires you to actually hit the person VERY close to damage and kill them, which can be a little tricky with them running all over coupled with the close zoom and small ammo use (25 rounds as opposed to the campaign's 75)
As for the Stealth Bomber, it can work, but only really more glancing blows (that could still kill you) by itself. If you set it up and you're completely in the middle of the Stealth Bomber's flight path, chances are that you'll get pummeled by more than 2 bombs, thus the Trophy System quickly gets depleted and you die anyway from the other nearby bombs.
nope the ac-130 main shell is a high explosive round. and so are the smaller shells. The ac-130 chain gun can get past because it fires so many rounds that even if 2 are stopped there is another 20-30 behind it to kill you with.
Hahaha I run up to IMS's all the time, drop a trophy system and watch em go off and get destroyed. I guess a lot of people don't know what the trophy system is capable of in the game because there is usually a lot of yelling & accusations of cheating that ensues haha!

Scrambler counters attack chopper, AH6, Pave Low, sentry gun and removes your red square for preds, reapers, AC-130s, remote sentries, and ospreys.

That guy was on his game to pull that out and save himself and his friend. The system does what it should. I'm more pissed I can't use my own trophy to get siterep pro any more. WTF!
That was an exploit.
The problem lies in the fact that the requirements to get sitrep pro are too high. Hardly anyone uses betties and claymores since 2 of the yellow perks almost completely nullify them. Then IMS almost everyone wants instant kills with a pred instead.
I know it was an exploit. But you know how long it takes to destroy 50 enemies equipments and or friendly equipments in HC.
Ive probably destroyed 100 TI in HC KC, both friendly and enemy just this weekend.
Eh, betties, claymores, portable radar, sam turrets, they all count so not that hard to get sit rep pro really.
juts play face off for a couple of hours - an abundance of portable radars and claymores
