With Sitrep Pro in MW2, you could hear footsteps against a player using Ninja Pro but at normal volume whereas if you're using anything other than Ninja Pro, it's 4x the volume.

In MW3, you can't hear Dead Silence players at normal volume.

No they do not have too. Stop trying to sound whore in the game with a headset so you can camp easier.

Actually, it's quite the opposite TSD.

Sitep Pro is more of the rushers pinpoint for locating enemy players. The Dead Silence players I come across are the "creepers".

Dead-Silence-Pro people are the ones sound whoring, or "anti-sound" whoring to be more accurate.

I really think Sit Rep Pro, should make sound enemy footsteps as regular on Dead Silence, and Louder Without it.

Firstly use your eyes, this should be the PRIMARY method that players use to detect the enemy.  You are walking/running around the map, LOOKING for the enemy to kill before being killed.  There is NOTHING in the game that can counter this (i.e. perks, guns, pointstreaks etc)- am I right?

The SECONDARY method that players use to stay alive and kill before being killed is situational awareness.  There are multiple ways to increase your situational awareness and many factors contribute to this (i.e. perks, pointstreaks, player skills, awareness etc).  They can ALL be countered- correct me if I'm wrong?

Sound is only one type of input that can assist in your situational awareness- if a perk cancels this then the player who has selected this counter has given up other perks?  And by selecting this it DOESN'T affect your ability to use every other tool at your disposal to be aware of where your enemy is?

Therefore the only conclusion is that you are reliant on sound too much, and possibly reliant too much on some (or all) of these secondary tools at your disposal to detect the enemy and stay alive.  Adapt, and reach into the vast toolbox at your disposal...

    couldnt agree more ANT!

everyone expects everythin to be handed to them on a silver plater in this game..

I presonaly find that sound is not as good on MW3 as previous cods and dead silence and sitrep pro are no good...people need to learn to adapt and use other set ups other than what they have stuck with since MW2

and another thing is that it also depends on what game type you're playing...high paced games like Dom and Dem, its pointless sound whoring on these types as players will mostly be in areas that you know anyway...

    learn to adapt people!

I'm not sure I agree with Sit-Rep being a counter to Dead Silence, but I must say that Sit-Rep Pro has changed my game forever! I think it's one of the best 3rd perks hands down. I'd even go as far to say that Dead Silence and Marksman are at a close tie for 2nd. Then again, that's just my play style / opinion talking.

    Your eyes?

Do you play Core as your game type? Stop using the HuD for Red Dot Farming? It seems that most that complain about assassin play Core and almost constantly ***** and moan about Player X not showing up on their "radar". But this is for a whole other thread...

A bit off topic?  But no, it doesn't do too much..

You do know everyone has access to the same perk?  And everyone has a choice whether or not to use any of the perks in this game?  And that each time you choose to use one thing in this game, you forgo another?  It's called a trade off...

It's just strange that people always whine about certain perks/guns/equipment/balance all the time.  Just play, adapt and enjoy
