As a Tech Support rep, I can tell you it isn't useless to give them calls. But make sure your input is helpful, polite and that you avoid being a d***. Oh, and remember to say thank you!

Meet that criteria and the Support Rep will be your greatest ally in getting you what you want. They will make sure to positively represent you and the community. Trust me. Im in that type of business. I would know.

But yeah. It's not useless, but Support Reps aren't magical. They can't get it done the day you want it. But they can help speed up the process by agreeing with your polite requests, and therefore, directly correlating the urgency of the situation due to multiple (kind) requests.

Oh no no no. I don't work in the game industry.
The work that I am a part of is for a network security appliance. But it all involves a similar type of Support Rep / Developer relationship and work flow.

Oh. You kinda made it sound like you worked with a game's dev team. Thanks for clearing that up though.

Yeah, sorry. I didn't mean to make it sound that way.
But even so, I promise you that I know what its like for them (The reps). Support Rep jobs are all VERY similar. Exclude the few changes caused by the difference in products that you are supporting and you might even consider them all the same.

In all honesty though it seems like talking to these Activision tech-support guys is a bit useless. Theses problems are well reported, but heck it's better than doing nothing.
Yup. As mralpharogue says above - plus your chat/email/call should be logged and go on their stats as being Wii-related, and those stats are often (not always) used as an indicator of priority...
Or, to use another saying:
"Shy bairns get nowt"

We should probably just do it the old fashioned way. Let's write letters!

Alright, how much are you getting paid to say that?
Just kidding, for all I know you could be getting paid, but that's neither here nor there.
Anyways I'm only saying it's a little useless at this point. We haven't gotten a patch since December (big hotfix technically) and since then not much has arose as being problematic. Everything that is problematic has likely already been reported numerous times, and at this point it's just kicking a dead horse. I do understand that more reports would increase urgency of a patch to be released, but the 3arc team are either doing nothing or actively working on a patch. If they're working on a patch they might as well take their time, and I'd their doing nothing I don't think we will be able to motivate them.
That's my 2 cents anyways.

I dont see the need for it. We now have a contact for information when it is available, WiiAdmin. That was all I ever really wanted. When Wii Admin is ABLE to post something, they will.
I admit, I miss seeing the interaction with the community that was present when Wii Admin first started posting, but I also agree that people wasted more of WiiAdmins time with petty arguement's and over asked questions than was needed.
I dont blame WiiAdmin for not taking part in regular discussions, because, as we have already seen in the past, it only leads to twisting of words and conspiracy theories.

I agree with this for the most part. Wiiadmin should at least tell the community that they are for sure 100% working on an update for MW3. Saying "We are aware of these issues" ain't gonna cut it. Alot of us are not looking for a long drawn out conversation that can be used to twist words and so on. All we want is the confirmation of a patch in the making. The way WiiAdmin acts right now with all the secrecy is incredibly annoying. But i will give WiiAdmin this.. incase you read this. You're still doing a better job then robert trolling. At least you're not a snake in the grass.
