Specialist Killstreaks Make Me Die.

Normally when I see a video of someone getting a MOAB they are using the Specialist Killstreaks. As you know after 8 kills all perks are enabled.
This causes me to die. The Stalker perk allows you to move faster when aiming down the sight. This is what makes me die. After playing CoD for many years you get used to the speed that you can move whilst you are aiming and you can use your movement to help you aim. When I get all the perks unlocked I always die not long after because the Stalker perk makes me move further than I wanted to move & I miss the shot that I would have otherwise hit.
I think using Specialist would be cool if I could remove Stalker from the set that I get after 8 kills. I always use Assault streaks as a result of this. I don't know why I am making a topic on this because IW won't do anything about it but I just wondered if anyone else felt the same.
A better solution would be to allow players to choose to remove effects they don't want to have - this would be balanced because everyone gets everything, but the player can specify to take away from that. ![]()
As soon as I saw this thread I thought "bet he's on about stalker" so frustrating moving getting your 8th kill then moving past your target
would be good to remove a perk you didnt want, but it'll prob never happen ![]()
I have no issue with it but would lowering the sensitivity maybe help when its active for u? Im actually not sure if it would affect it but if it did although it wouldn't be ideal if you think you might be ads ing more than running it may help
I always use 10 sensitivity on all CoD's at all times. It is impracticle to get an 8 killstreak and then stop to change my sensitivity. Also it wouldn't help because the problem is the moving when you walk. Which the sensitivity doesn't affect.
I just wish that IW could see posts like this and implement things like being able to remove a perk from the set or at least removing certain effects of a perk from the set.
If they could remove the effects of Stalker so I move at a normal speed then I think Specialist would be a decent option but at the moment it just isn't.
choose stalker as a starting perk...then the movement speed is built in.
But that is the whole point... I don't want Stalker. I have played online CoD games since CoD4 was released. The movement speed when ADS has hardly changed/not changed throughout that time and I am used to it. Stalker was a good idea in theory but in actuality it is something that I would never choose to use.
Stalker makes me aim wrong and die, so why would I choose it as a starting perk and always die?
For me its both Stalker and Marksman ... Previous COD's when you see the name light up that means your on target ...now with Marksman I am waisting all my ammo on a target I think I am lined up on , but am just seeing the name due to Marksman ....
Depending on the class ...I do like Marksman on a sniper class , can see they are close and then find them ... but AR's are harder to see the distance ....
And yea , Stalker gets some time getting used to ... I never use it as a starting perk ... and have found it frustrating at times , esp when I am running the MK14 ....
Take some of your own PCP and get good.
I am good. I just don't want a shitty perk like Stalker ruining my killstreak so I never use Specialist or stalker & I keep a 5k/d so stfu & sit down.
use stalker from the beginning, so you could get use to it...
Stalker is a good perk if used properly. So try to get used to it. It can auctually improve your game. The other option is to not use Specialist, Good luck.
Stalker for me is freaking amazing in that thight moment where you have 2-3 people just out of hip fire range. It saves my life a lot. But I don't miss it when i don't have it equipped.
Guess that you either just have to get used to it, or indeed don't use it. But common its not that big of an adjustment.
I would suggest starting your game with the Stalker perk so you don't have to deal with a major change of movement speed in the middle of a streak. You may not think so right now but the stalker perk is really really good. Get use to it because they aren't making the change you want. If there is a change it won't be until the next game, I can promise you this.
