Ok the ACR is by far my fevorite gun and i really wanna be good with it so for you guys using the ACR how do you work it, what options do you use with? me i use kick and silencer...how do you guys use the acr that is working great for you? and maybe perks that would help.....thx

Either Attachments with Silencer and Ex, Mags like David said...or Focus and Silencer. It doesn't really need Kick and forget the noob tube.
Attachments and extended mags and silencer nevers use kick and noob toobs are for ***** and don't do any damage unless next to or head on impact
kick and silencer until ext mags are unlocked then attatchments with silencer/ext mags. that way I get the challenge xp for kick and xp for attatchments to help rank up faster.
Silencer and focus so that when you get shot you stay on target and with the acr's accuracy you don't need to use kick. Use scavenger assassin and stalker. Stalker because when you are moving fast and still aiming accurately at the same time it is hard for them to kill you. If you don't like stalker i would say use marksman so that you can see people who are farther away with ease. I always use specialist killstreaks and set them as sleight of hand at 2 kills and quickdraw at 4 to make close range encounters easier. If you do not plan on getting a larger killstreak i would suggest sleight of hand as a perk and scavenger as the 4 killstreak with quickdraw at 2
I never use Kick on my ACR. Usually Impact and red dot or silencer for my stealth class or extended mags on my Drop Zone class
I usually go with a shotgun or an SMG and just started using the ACR last night. Wow, have I been missing out. My first game with the red dot unlocked I went 20-0 on Interchange.
I have the holographic on there, now, but I think I liked the red dot better (less obstructed view). Attachments with the red dot and silencer is pretty lethal. As has been said, I don't think you need kick, especially if you're using a silencer and burst firing.
For my perks, scavenger - assassin - marksman.
I use stability and red dot. Burst fire it at a distance and pin the trigger within 10m.
I love the ACR too just like I love the Striker and the FMGs but PLEASE don't be like all these kids running around with those weapons killing everyone not because they're skilled but only because they chose the easiest path!
There are over 30 weapons in this game and I like to try all of them, complete the challenges, explore the variety of weapons available so I can be a little bit more creative than the average player who picks up an ACR with a silencer and a red dot and sticks with it. Now I can already see them coming: "we're free to play with whatever gun we want... just do the same... you don't have to play with shitty weapons...".
My answer to that is pretty simple: people should try to learn to be good with any weapon. When these kids stick to their ACRs, Strikers or FMGs, they force people to use the same weapon they have so we can stand a chance against them since these weapons are over powered compared to any other gun in the game. It kills the gaming experience by limiting the choices other players have to rivalize against them.

well first of all im not a lil kid, im 30 yo, second i try every gun and that since MW2 so i always tryed every weapon so i can know what gun im better with and in MW3 the one that does for me is the ACR and i stick with it 95% of the time so yeah i got your point, its true that you need to play with every weapon but in another hand id rather stick with the weapon that i play best with and make different combination with it
I'm more of a fan of the Scar-L to be honest, but I do have the ACR gold atm since I'm 10/80.
I always use it with Scav Pro/Hardline Pro/Stalker Pro and a Stinger secondary. For me personally I've had the most success with either Impact and a Silencer or Attachments with Silencer and Ext Mags.
If you're only using the ACR, I suggest you branch out. The Scar, M4, G36C, AK47 and FAD are all very good and worth trying
I have 4 different AR classes right now only 2 are on the ACR. Other 2 are the scar and CM901. I like to run the guns evenly to maximize the xp for each to help rank up quicker. that is also why I use kick vs focus, using kick I complete the proficency challenges much faster than I would if I was using focus. Scar is not bad but IMO the CM901 is the closest to the ACR

This is my Specialist class. Got a 68-8 and Moab with this. i recommend this.
Also kick is pretty useless since ACR 6.8 has almost negligible recoil.
Profiencies such as Attachments, Focus and Stability helps a lot.
Silencer reduces the range of the gun but due to the high rate of fire, it's still as effective and really recommend for stealth.(try not to use impact with silencer)
If you find iron sights obstructive and bulky, red dot sight is really really recommend.
Steady Aim is good for rushing, but if you want to lay low and pick off people at a distance(but not cheap camping of course), then Marksman is very good.
I wouldn't say Kick is useless. I got 2 Osprey Gunners in one game running ACR w/ Kick and Silencer. Or maybe that's just because I know how to use it. Kick and Silencer work really well on the ACR but then again I play HC game modes. I'm not going to give away my secrets on a thread for everyone to read though.
Just curious why you would use Kick on the ACR considering it doesn't have recoil.
To be honest, you're better off using either Attachments or Focus (for less flinch)
Ya i know but i was like **** it lets put the kick to get no recoil at all but i changed it to Silencer and ext.mag and its pretty good

I use the ACR with two attachmnts, Red Dot and Extended Mags. Secondary is the Stinger. Perk 1 is Sleight of Hand, Perk 2 is Hardline and Perks 3 is Stalker. Throw in an Assault Class of Predator, Airstrike and Attack Chopper.
The ACR doesnt need Kick, it has so little recoil. With the Stinger as Secondary you can rack up points taking down Air Support and it all counts towards your killstreak with Hardline kicking the Predator in at 4 kills.
Works for me, I love taking down Air Support. And with so many people running around with those girly Akimbo's often my Chopper runs amok for a while.
It's good with a silencer, but my favourite setup is
ACR - Red dot sight, Focus proficiency
Sleight of hand, quickdraw, dead silence
with either: Precision airstrike, Reaper, AC130 or the Specialist killstreak setup.
it does NOT need kick! Immediately stop using it =P Try focus instead, helps you win more gunfights both close and long range. It's defninitely a great weapon if you use it right, it's great for long ranges but it can also win gunfights against SMG's at close range, especially when using Focus.
I've hardly used this gun until now (7th prestige), mainly because I didn't want to use "what everyone was using". Another reason I'm currently using it, is because I've got the M16, Scar and CM901 set up to where if I get 3 kills with each I'll get 10k xp. I do this with random weapons at the start of each prestige to level up a little. It feels good to go from level 4 to 15 in one game.
Any who - My ACR set-ups are:
Silencer / Impact or Tube / Impact and perks are swapped out according to what game type or how I feel like playing that day. Typically you can find me running SoH or BE for first perk, QD or HL for 2nd perk, and Sit Rep or DS for 3rd. I hardly run Assassin...the ACR is one of those guns that make you sort of want the enemy to come to you. ^_^

Using kick with the ACR is a waste of proficiency, it has no recoil.
If you like the sights go silencer and extended mags I reccomend Scavenger Pro you don't need to worry about ammo.
Personally I don't like the sights so I use the red dot with extended mags or silencer.
am i the only one on this thread that doesnt seem to care about the acr?
i just roll with the g36c, same damage profile, the RoF is higher, if you burst fire 2 bullets at a time at longer ranges that gun just ***** ppl
I'm amazed nobody has said they use the thermal sights. I used them in the first week and now I can't use the gun without them. Seriously, you should try them, you will start getting kills you wouldn't have dreamed of. I've got people hiding behind cars and other objects just because I could see a glimpse of white. Add how difficult it is to see people on many of the maps, I find thermal a real asset.
the thermal depends of the lobby, if no1 is using assassin then yes it help a lot, but if 70% of the enemy team is using assassin, the thermal becomes worthless. since assassin is a very popular perk, i tend to stay away of the thermal scope
That's a fair point, although I am surprised how many people don't use it, especially recently.
just remembered, my ***** mode class is the mk14 thermal silenced, smoke and bouncing betty, im not pround of it, but when i use it i just camp in the weeds and take ppl out from the distance
