ok I posted this in another discussion but:
Remove throwing knives, its a BS instant gib, that can bounce giving the 12year old with the worlds worst aim a chance at accidently ricocheting it off a building as I stafe into its new course.
But give the infected scavenger, it gives them ammo for their pistol, if they loot a pack from a dead team mate, giving them a ranged attack to deal with campers that is not immediately ready/spammable once they respawn.
This would give the infected a way to deal with ladder campers and glitch users while eliminating the all to frequent deaths caused by infected getting lucky bounces or ricochets when they 'miss' with the throwing knife.
On a side note, the AA-12 needs more ammo, both in the clip(8 shots at 2-3 per kill on average) and in the starting spare(you start with a clip of 8 shells and a spare 8 shells.)

i'd be all for that..... i think the TK is hilarious from both sides... but its really only needed to stop people from being cheap.... some ammo for the usp would also do the trick..

There is a problem in doing that. It breaks infected even worse then the TK at that point. The TK require some ability to get a kill with. Where as the USP can be spammed easily and kill from an even greater range then the TK can with ease if the person using it can aim at all.

yea i would rather have them removed too but i was saying IF they really have to add them back they should do that

My post from at least 2 other threads:
Everyone has been complaining about throwing knives in Infection lately. I think that throwing knives remove the need for the infected to rush together as a team, since they just have to tac around a corner, spam a knife, die, and repeat. I like not having to worry about random throwing knives, but I know that many people like that mode since it's easy to spam knives. Maybe instead of removing one mode or the other, we could either separate the Infected game modes so that people have a choice, or just make the throwing knife variant a lot less common than the non-throwing knife one, so everyone can be happy.
Also, Knife Vs Barrett needs pistols for survivors, and Knife Vs AA-12 needs Extended Mags and Range for survivors.

If you need a pisto with your barret you suck at using a sniper. The barret will kill any infected in one shot ever time to the chest. And the aa-12 is fine, just move about and gather ammo instead of trying to camp a high spot.
A TK's take skill to use not everyone can spam them and hit a moving player as easy as that moving player can spray down an infected.
Stop thinking it is about the survivors having the greatest advantage at all times, that is now how the game mode was meant to be.

Survivors are supposed to have an advantage over a single infected, so why can't I have a pistol with my Barrett on a close range map? Not all of us quickscope.

You do not need to even be able to QS with any of snipers to do well with them if you can aim at all. On some maps the snipers are actually a serious advantage to the survivors.
The .50 cals will kill in one shot to chest every time. the semi-s take two at most and can be fired very quickly. There is no need for a pistol if you can aim. I guess this shows you can not aim and need a spray and pray weapon to live.

I don't need to spray, as my highest weapon K/D is with the Barrett. But on a close range map with a sniper without variable zoom, you'd have to spray. What else do you expect us to do? Do you even think about these things you say, or do you just think that the infected should have it super easy?

I never have to spray with the barret at close range, so no you do not need to spray or be able to QS or anything close to it.
The infected have it far from super easy espically against anyone that can aim a sniper and use them well.
And K/D means nothing, it is accuracy with a weapon that matters. Anyone can spray with a sniper and get a high k/d with them, that proves nothing.

The only time I like being infected is when we're against snipers because it's easy to kill survivors on a close range map. And if you spray with a sniper, you definitely won't have a high K/D.

throwing knifes are needed for maps like bakaara or dome where the uninfected can bunch up and give a guy no chance, but giving them a form of scavneger would be a joke. Maybe giving them a riot shield instead of a throwing knife would give them a better chance that way it take more ammo to kill them.
as for weapons I for 1 would like to the spas12 and mk14 be givin a chance, just to see how that would shake things up, or bring back the juggs for dome
one thing I really would like to see is something to stop kids boosting for moab's. maybe the one in the chamber idea could work here but I like the riot shield

the infections are supposed to work together to overrun the survivors just think as the cat walk in dome for example if you and your team keep going up each ladder on both sides you can split the survivors up and one of those times you will get up there its not impossiple..... the game mode is about the infections over running the survivors if you dont play it right and just go off on your own and dont stay with team mates then yea your going to get raped and TKs are for noobs all you have to do is crawl around a corner put ur TI down and throw your knife doesnt require any skill especially since the survivor is probaly camping but there is nothing wrong with camping in infected like i said its about the infections trying to over run the survivors

Yea and being over run by throwing knives is a great way to get people to move and not sit ion their thumbs.
It instills an IDEA for GREAT team work.
NOT JUST FROM INFECTED.
If the survivors cannot communicate then they should very well die at the hands of a throwing knife.
I have survived serveral rounds dealing with throwing knives.
You have to be more cunning.
I do really like how the specialist perk allows the SURVIVOR
If they earn their 8 kills. Then THEY CANT BE FOUND IF THEY ARE THE LAST ONE.
Hence
HIDE WELL.
Be an ASSASSIN.
but only if your team lets you down.
OTHERWISE TEAMWORK WILL SAVE YOU FROM THROWING KNIVES FIND BETTER SPOTS TO HOLD DOWN.

and i love that comment above me... "guess they didnt read the forums"
no.. they DID read the forums, they just ignored childish nonesense and thats why we have TKs back...

One of my Ideas...
New Weapon system. Have every non infected player start off with the Akimbo Pistols but have spots set up on the maps so Non-Infected players can go and pick up a weapon. Sort of like a Zombie Map but you don't have to pay for the weapon. Survivors should be able to have a few options for weapons on each map. Take off scavenger, give one magazine per weapon so if the player runs out of ammo he/she has to leave their spot to go and pick up another weapon. That may eliminate the need for a TK, if not then the Infected should have some kind of weapon as wel but equivelent to a TK.

Why not make the throwing knife a death streak for infected? If you get killed 4 times, you get a throwing knife? But then I guess kids will just kill themselves by jumping off something to start with a throwing knife. oh well, just a thought.
