Petition to add option to adjust volume level of in game music sepearately from sound effects.

In previous COD titles there has been the option to adjust the level of the in game music independently of the sound effects (gunfire, footsteps, etc..). Can we please get this put back in? It has been said alot that when the when you unlock challenges it makes it so you cant hear whats going on in the game. The "cinematic" music that randomly play does this as well. And not to mention it is just annoying to have two different things tied to one control, and to not have the option to not hear something you might not want to hear. I just got a headset and this has greatly exacerbated the issue, to the point where it is now a must. We really should be able to turn music off so we can actually hear what is going on in the game. Use search feature. This has been posted dozens of times.

But yea, I do agree. Its a step back from all other COD titles. IDK, why they decided to not add this feature but it just goes to show the incompetance IW/SH have when it comes to making a quality game.

I am aware that people have posted about this before. This is a petition for people to sign their names so IW can take note. Or are you saying there is already a petition? In which case I will gladly close this and go sign it.

Hi everyone,
I do not know if you guys know me, but I have been pushing for a music slider since the games release. I have spoken first hand with the developer and this is what is occurring. Supposedly in the next update, IW is planning on remixing the audio as a first step. They are gonna lower the volume in the lobby and also during the game. They will then await feedback.

If that is found to be insufficient, which undoubtedly it will, they are planning on patching in a mute lobby music feature. That is as far as they are willing to go. They state that the music is suspenseful and can be unfair to players who do not turn down their music vs those who do turn it down. While I feel that is a players choice, that is where the issue currently stands. If you guys want to voice your opinions in a polite and positive way, please post in the thread titled MW3 patches. Place your questions/suggestion to Ghandi, the more that request it, the more it may come to fruition. Thanks Pete

It will not be implemented into this game.

Lets take a look at previous games and check the record about different music levels.

Cod4 didn't have it
W@W had it
MW2 didn't have it
Black Ops had it
Mw3 doesn't have it.

See a trend?

Agreed 100%. IW should adopt some of the good things Treyarch has brought to the table.

Some people have argued that IW's pride gets in the way and they refuse to adopt features Treyarch has implemented. I'm not sure if this is the case, but I guess it's a possibility.

Others have argued that Infinity Ward hates soundwhoring and left this feature out to make it more difficult to soundwhore. I think this is absolutely laughable, but some people truly believe that's the case. LOL!

It would be awesome if IW came to their senses and put out a patch to fix this, but somehow, I doubt it.
