We can only guess as to who the first dev on the next generation consoles will be, since there are rumors for 2013 & 2014 and, for all we know, it could
be 2015.
Is it an advantage or disadvantage to be the first dev out the gate with COD on the new consoles?
Who would you want to have the honor of putting out the next gen console COD first, Treyarch or Infinity Ward?
After "BO2" Activision should just pool most of the SH, Treyarch, and the remnants of IW into one developer and let them make a new engine for the next-gen consoles then allow them to make ONE game every other year (maybe three).
Not going to happen but it would be awesome to see what impact on quality it would have.
If by next-gen you mean a game that looks on par to the Xbox 360 and PS3 then sure. I guarantee Activision won't permit the developers to take advantage of the extra horsepower the WiiU offers until the "Nextbox" and "PS4" come along.
