Is anyone working on fixing the cheating problems on CoD4 and MW2, or are these games effectively abandoned now that MW3 is out?

I wouldn't say that the LMGs were good in black ops because 3 of them had ridiculously small magazines and the ARs in that game were even more OP than in MW2.

I don't remember this happening in any other CoD, feels like the barrett has the mobility of an LMG. it's a good thing really considering the weight of the weapon.

 

Also i'm not sure if it's a glitch, but the USAS seems to give you extreme conditioning for free, adding the actual perk on top and you can run forever it seems

It's not your imagination; both of those observations are true.

The Barrett has 85% mobility, just like the LMGs; and the USAS, for whatever reason, has a longer sprint distance. I think, in fact, that a single Skorpion with Extended Mags shares the same bug.

I don't understand the notion behind giving the Barrett lower mobility stats. It's effectively the same as the RSASS, except the RSASS has more bullets to compensate for lack of one shot kills. But the Barrett's semi-automatic capability is balanced by its high recoil with sustained fire. I don't see the point of hindering the mobility of the rifle at all. Just because it weighs 30 lbs in real life doesn't mean that should be reflected in the game. All snipers move slowly and tactically no matter the weight of the rifle; hindering one makes absolutely no sense.

Did the IW devs smoke a little before determining what to do with the weapon balance in this game?

im on the understanding that one big reason for not having dedicated servers, was so that the games could be played well into the future without having to worry about turning the server off.

may as well have better gameplay now with dedi servers really, as cod 4 still playable but does have quite a few hackers on it, waw is just a joke which is criminal imo, an mw2 plays smooth but bs. that leaves bo an mw3. so basically bo it is then
