Will try to tackle this when I get off work and back home. A few people also need to bring up the fact that they do not frequent these boards for the problems every one talks about. Granted they probably gave up after 3 weeks of not being able to keep up with the complaints.

X i have a 50Mb fiber optic connection and i've never had a problem before with connectivity to multiplayer games as i have loads of bandwidth. But this game is terrible right now, im host pritty much constantly and when i am im about half a second behind everyone else in the game and is near enough unplayable

X do you have any recommendations on how i should sett my connection up

David W. what is your up and down?

X down is on a good none peak time 56.5Mbps and up is 5 to 7 Mb and i can ping google.com in around 24 Ms without packet loss

X on any mtu setting

David W. that is indeed impressive that puts you well ahead of the normal.

David W. I don't want to recommend dulling down your settings but for mw3 you might want to close one of your ports to see if it slows you down a bit.

David W. its a weird transition from black ops where host had advantage to now where host seems to pick up the slack for everyone else.

David W. I have heard that putting your router behind your firewall works as well

X thanks i've been downloading massive files recently to slow it down and it does seem to work but the isp don't like you being greedy with there bandwidth, can you recommend what port i should close ?

X i think they wanted to stop the host advantage altogether but at the moment it's not fair to have the host at a disadvantage either i hope they sort it because it isn't working at the moment.

+ 1 and im leaving this thread and going straight there RE. lag comp, disc read error, freezing my new ps3 to the point i need a hard reset to get it going again, being treated like lepers when compared with xbox ( not the map issue the fact we have a very poor port and no patch) i want a refund or a new working disc whether or not that happens is another story. ill update.

im not a cod hater either im an original fanboy of i.w (the real one) i was like a kid on xmas eve pre launch on both this and mw2 and i cant believe its came to this for me . i love this game running at its full potential , which is hardly ever. its got so much to offer but delivers so little
